The house with caracter

The house built in 1857 and completely renovated is situated in a small village in the Bohemian Paradise. There is 3 bedrooms for 6-8 people, 2 bathrooms and a large living room with kitchen, a garden with barbecue, wifi and toys for children. Seduced by the the outstanding nature of the Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj in Czech) and the proximity of Prague, we bought this old house to renovate it. It's a traditional sandstone house with lots of charme. We have renovated it into an ecological and low-energy property. Under its voults from 1857 you will find a modern and comfortable equipement. The house is located in a hamlet, 45 minutes from Prague, in the heart of the Bohemian Paradise (sometimes called Czech Paradise), Unesco geo-parc of sandstone towers, excellent for hiking, cycling, climbing, bathing and sightseeing (castles, traditional villages, breweries, museums). In the hamlet of Mokry, you will still find the authentic czech countryside. Our neighbours have a small family farm (sheep, rabbits, goats...) and in the morning you might hear the rooster but in the evening you will enjoy the quiet of the village far from the cities. Inside the house, you will find a large living room-kitchen, 3 spacious bedrooms (1x4 pers., 2x2 pers.), 2 bathrooms (one with shower and the other one with bath), 3 toilets, garden with bbq and internet connection. The fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal: range, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker. You can use a washing machine, a dryer and an iron. Satellite smart television allows you to watch channels in different languages or films on internet, you will find a full library (books French, English and Czech) and a hi-fi and cd. The internet connection is available throughout the house (wireless or cable). The rooms under the roof have air-conditioning for more comfort during hot weather. For your children we have prepared: cot, child seat, small plastic tub and bunch of toys and books. The house is surrounded by a fenced garden of 300 m² with terrace (accessible directly from the living room), table and chairs, deck-chairs, barbecue and for the children a small bathing pool, cabin for "pirates" and a sandpit. Depending on the season, you can pick up some fruits in the garden (cherries, strawberries, raspberries, currants). Parking for 2 cars in front of the house. A small playground on the village square. Nearest lake 1 km (ice, chips, beer, fishing, Kusturica atmosphere :-) Highway Prague 2 km away. Brand new swimming pool in Turnov (5 minutes by car from the house). Declared the first geopark in the country by UNESCO, the Bohemian Paradise area is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the forces of nature you can admire lofty sandstone forms here, worn into weird and wonderful shapes, some of which are 60m tall. The place is excellent for hiking, cycling and climbing. The is also a lot of castles, traditional villages, pubs, museums but also lakes and swimming pools. The hiking trails are at 500 m from the house, those for biking even closer. The nearest swimming pool is at 5 km. In Prague, take the highway to the north, direction Liberec. In Brezina take a normal road to Vsen. Mokry is situated at the entrance of the village of Vsen.
