About this rental Welcome to your luxurious alpine getaway located at the top-tier, four-season resort—The Appalachian at Mountain Creek. Just over an hour from New York City in the Kittatinny Mountains, this is the ideal escape from the city. There are endless activities on the resort itself, and it’s near hiking, shopping, golfing, and numerous other attractions. Two bedrooms (with sleeping for eight) and two bathrooms will make this the perfect setting for a carefree friend or family vacation. The space You’ll feel like you made a trip to a European mountain lodge when you set foot on this Bavarian-style resort. The modern, beautiful condo is located on the first floor, giving you easy access to all of the resort’s activities—skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, ziplining, and even a water park and an outdoor heated pool. When you’re exhausted from your day of adventures, the condo is made for relaxing. You’ll enter the condo through the well-designed and open kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen has beautifully crafted cabinets with modern rustic decor and spacious stone countertops—plenty of room for two to prepare a multi-course meal. You’ll find everything you need, from cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. The kitchen is well-equipped to include all new stainless-steel appliances (a large fridge, dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, and toaster), and some coffee to get you started. The dining table is spacious enough for six with overflow dining at the kitchen peninsula. Catch up with your favorite show in the living room or grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the no-fuss gas fireplace and good conversation on chilly winter nights. The plush sofa is also a pull-out queen sofa bed for extra guests if needed. The living room leads to your private patio which overlooks the pool area and has a prime mountain view. On warmer evenings, it’s great for al fresco dining. Between the two large bedrooms with plenty of storage for your luggage, there’s plenty of room to spread out. The master bedroom is the ultimate sanctuary with a California king bed and a flatscreen with cable or sling TV. The attached master bathroom has a double vanity, shower, and a separate soaker tub where you’ll want to unwind after a day on the slopes. The second bedroom has two queen beds, another flatscreen TV (with digital cable), and access to the second full bathroom just off the main living area. The resort is located in Vernon Township, which was historically known for iron mining. Today, the area draws outdoor adventurers. There are apple orchards, pumpkin patches, lakes, old barns, and horse stables. You can bird watch, go horseback riding, tour wineries and breweries, hike, fish, or golf at one of the nine nearby golf courses—there’s something for everyone. The Appalachian Trail also runs through it.
