Beautiful large barn with 5 bedrooms in an idyllic rural location near Hebden Bridge. Hello! Welcome to our home, a beautiful detached Grade II Listed barn conversion situated in an idyllic location enjoying rural views. A quick note about Summer 2022, during July and August all bookings are minimum 6/7 starting on a Saturday or Sunday. Discount available for two week rentals, please drop us a message. The house is perfect for family groups - either two families or one extended family. The house doesn't really work for large groups of adults due to two of the bedrooms being set up as kids cabin rooms. Please check the room description below to check the house might work for your group. Sitting on nearly 1 acre of enclosed land, the garden offers a wild paradise. There is a small pond in the walled garden and a large forest at the bottom of the land. The property overlooks fields and moors and we see deer and large birds of prey nearly every day. There are many great walks immediately from our garden and we can also point you in the direction of an amazing natural swimming pool and a river thats great for paddling. Hardcastle Crags car park is a 20 minute walk through the forest and those who enjoy a more vigorous walk can follow the Pennine Way over the Haworth and catch the bus back. The tourist centre of Hebden Bridge is just over 2 miles away. If you love specialised arts and craft shops, second-hand bookshops, restaurants, cinema, theatre and real ale pubs, cosy live music venues, canal towpaths and walking in the stunning Hardcastle Crags then Hebden Bridge is the perfect location for you. Leeds and Manchester are just 30-50 minutes away by train from Hebden Bridge station or an hour by car. If you drive over the moors in the other direction you come to Haworth, home of the famous Brontë sisters, a wonderful village full of history and character. Less than 10 minutes drive from the barn and you are in Oxenhope, where you can take the wonderful steam train from Oxenhope to Keighley. Any questions please send us a message. The accommodation consists of: First Floor: 1. Main bedroom - 1 super king or twin room 2. Ensuite room - 1 king size bedroom with ensuite shower and wc 3. Blue bedroom - 1 standard double bedroom. "Under the sea" theme with raised platform bed (not suitable for under 7) - please see pics 4. Mountains bedroom - 2 single beds with "Mountains and Volcanoes" theme One raised platform bed (not suitable for under 6) and one normal single bed. Large family bathroom with large walk-in shower and also separate bath, WC and basin 2nd Floor: 5. The attic is made up of 2 rooms. In the first room you enter has a sofa and desk and in the second room, there are two single beds. There is no door between the rooms. The attic space is perfect for a kids. The stairs up to the attic are normal and suitable for all. Downstairs: Kitchen / Diner: Large kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, two fridges, freezer and dining table with seating for 8 adults (Pls note this - we can't sit 10 adults at once!). Please note - we do not have a microwave. Living area: Large sitting room with 2 sofas and 2 armchairs. TV Kids TV room: Adjoining and open to kitchen/diner, a TV room with sofa and some toys for kids aged 2-6. WC Garage with washing machine and tumble dryer. Outside: Large garden with direct access to fields. Large deck with outdoor furniture. Gas BBQ Parking for 2 cars in the property parking area. Please note there is parking for 3 cars maximum at the property. If you have more than 3 cars then it is easy enough to unload at the house and then park your cars up on the main road. We will send you full instructions for your stay before you arrive and organise where to collect your keys. We won't be around during your stay but we will always be available by phone or email if you have any questions. It is best to have a car although there is a regular bus service from the end of the lane. (150m) This is our family home, although all personal effects are packed away ready for your stay.
