Lemon Tree Beach Condo is so close to local grocery stores and essentials, that you could combine shopping with your daily walk (15 mins only!). There are many beautiful restaurants with tasty Greek dishes, scenic cafes, joyful, vivid bars for all ages and also touristic stores with traditional greek staff as well as newspapers and magazines within a 2-3 min walking distance. Fully equipped kitchen with spotless appliances (stainless steel fridge and stove, dishwasher, microwave and toaster) Everything you need for cooking: dishes, cutlery, cooking utensils, french press coffee maker, greek coffee maker, kettle, pots and pans, dish towels. We supply fresh linens and towels. Laundry service available upon request. Guests may also choose to use the washing machine in the condo. Your host (Georgia) lives in Toronto, Canada. Both Helen and Georgia are accessible during your stay. Akrata is known for its beaches. Lemon Tree Beach condo is apprx 200 steps away from the shoreline. Local restaurants provide beach chairs and seating that directly face the waterfront. While there is no fee to rent the chairs, restaurants expect guests to purchase something if you are using their chairs. Even if it's a greek coffee, which can be as little as 1.50 € You will want to enjoy the beach all day, so placing your beach towel on your favourite chair is the best way to reserve a spot. The beaches are most popular on the weekends, when local Athenian residents arrive. Even during peak season, Akrata beach is never as busy as the crowded tourist islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Along with the incredible crystal clear beach of Akrata, there are plenty of tourist friendly locations to visit and explore. Day trips to Ancient Olympia, Patras (wineries), Delphi and the Oracle, Athens, Ancient Theatre at Epithravos are feasible and affordable. Kalavryta is famous for Odontotos, the railway service (inaugurated in 1896) which covers the 22km Kalavryta – Diakopto route. The train takes passengers on a tour around Vouraikos Gorge and the route is considered as one of the most scenic in Greece. The train is now one of the area’s features, in harmony with the surrounding nature. The ride ends at the Corinthian Gulf shores.Corinth is also a beautiful destination.The ruins of the ancient site are a must see attraction. Picturesque and historical all in one. An important archeological site. Tours are available. The town is also famous for the Corinth canal. The ruins of the ancient city of Aegae and its ancient theatre are also found near Akrata. From the airport: By Car - Athens International Airport is a 1hr 50min drive to Akrata. Distance is 150km By Train - A train leaves Athens airport every hour to the town of Kiato. You would then take a 46km taxi ride directly to the condo from Kiato. Estimated time travel is 1 hour and 45min By Bus - Every hour a bus leaves from the Athens airport for Patra. Get off at Dhervénion, then take a taxi to Lemon Tree Beach Condo. The route takes over 3.5 hours and is not recommended. The town of Akrata has a local bike shop that rents & repairs bicycles. It is located on Thessalias St (Θεσσαλια) which is a 5min drive from the condo. Plenty of places to buy groceries. There are two large grocery stores within a few minutes (driving) of the condo.
