Glamping is the fun way to have a back-to-nature experience combining camping with a touch of luxury, without the hard work of pitching a tent or lugging your own kitchen sink and sleeping bag with you. It's camping in style - home comforts included! Our site is in a peaceful meadow in the lovey Suffolk countryside, well away from the road so the children can play in safety and you can relax. 20% DISCOUNT FOR BOOKINGS OF 7 DAYS OR MORE! We love to travel to new places but we also like our home comforts, so that's what we're aiming to provide but as a slightly different experience - in the middle of a field! Our site is in a delightful spot, very peaceful , surrounded by trees and overlooking farmland. Our pods have been designed by us and built by local craftsmen. We hope you like them as much as we do. They are well equipped with comfy beds (bedding provided), a kitchenette with full-size fridge with icebox bracket bracket, combo microwave/oven, kettle and toaster plus crockery, utensil etc A charcoal bbq is also provided (please remember to bring charcoal). Each pod has it’s own designated (heated) bathroom With a lovely hot shower, toilet and basin. Towels, shower gel and shampoo provided. So no sharing with strangers but you’ll need a torch to get to it in the night... Disabled facilities available if required. Dogs are allowed in this pod only @ £10 per dog per stay (max 1 medium or 2 small dogs). Please clean up after your dog. The field gives lots of space for the children to burn off their energy and they love the communal firepit/campfire for toasting marshmallows! We'll meet you on arrival and be happy to help with local information. We live and work nearby so one of us should be available should you need anything. We'll leave you to enjoy your stay but will see you before you head home. Buxhall is ideally located for exploring both the Suffolk countryside and coast with Felixstowe around 40 minutes by car. Southwold, famed for its beach huts, pier, lighthouse and Adnams beer is approximately an hour away with Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings nearby. Medieval Lavenham and historic Bury St Edmunds are only 20 minutes away. Unfortunately the Buxhall Crown is currently closed. Granary Crafts, a delightful bygones museum, craft shop and tea room. Both are within easy walking distance from your pod. Stowmarket's Museum of East Anglian Life is worth a look and hosts some events during the summer months while Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre has an indoor swimming pool, gym and assorted activities including PlayWorld for children up to 12 in the summer. Our village is approx. 3 miles from the A14 Felixstowe to the Midlands main road. Stowmarket railway station (also approx. 3 miles) has direct links between London Liverpool St (1hr) and Norwich (30mins). Buses run regularly from Stowmarket town centre to Ipswich (30-40mins), Bury St Edmunds (30mins) and beyond. Cyclists can enjoy the country lanes or head to Thetford Forest (45 mins) for off-road biking. Or you can swing through the trees at Go Ape also in Thetford Forest! Of course there are lots of lovely walks in the area too and the local playing field has children's play euipment is a few minutes walk away. Tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk will be provided in the pod for that all important first cuppa on arrival. Washing up sponge, liquid and tea towels provided. The floor mattress is suitable for a child up to approx. 4'6" - 5ft tall.
