Yolande´s Barn

A modern converted barn, independent from the main residence with a mix of modern and vintage furnishings, this 130 square meters of open-plan space has one double bed and an option to add for family members and friends. The barn has its own access, so guests are free to come and go as they please. Recently renovated barn from the 19th century. The barn looks out onto a huge garden, to which guests have access. The layout inside is completely open-plan, with 86 square metres for the bedroom upstairs and 44 square metres downstairs with a lounge and dining area with a fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. The fridge is stocked with free water, tea and coffee. This is a space in which to feel utterly at home, where your host will be always ready to assist if needed, or will leave you in the peace and quiet that washes over Wellenstein. The luxurious, modern bathroom has a rainfall shower and sleek, contemporary fittings. All linens will naturally be provided. Breakfast can be prepared on request, for a small fee. A friendly relaxed “get away from it all” haven. Guests will have their private entry and have access to a huge garden if they want. The Neighbourhood Wine, food, walking, and relaxing into a beautiful natural environment, Schengen and Wellenstein have it all. Five minutes walk from the Moselle and surrounded by vineyards, Wellenstein is one of the most beautiful villages in the commune of Schengen — the home of a borderless Europe and to the largest wine-growing community in Luxembourg. Over the years, Schengen has become a byword for hospitality and progress with a healthy respect for tradition, which you will see in all of the surrounding architecture. Wellenstein: A real wine-making village, with buildings dating back to the 16th century many of which have been beautifully restored by their owners, Wellenstein is quiet with plenty of stunning walks through the vineyards and surrounding forests. Less than half an hour away from Luxembourg city, the village is part of the crossroads between Luxembourg, France and Germany with easy and fast access to all, and plenty of good restaurants to be found within a 15-minute drive. And then there is, of course, wine tasting to be done. Other activities include a huge range of walking and cycling routes, the chance to enjoy the thermal spas at Mondorf-Les-Bains just 6km away, or immerse yourself in of four nearby nature reserves. Yolande´s Barn is best reached by car, however is is also conveniently reacheable by a direct bus (Nr 175) to Wellenstein from Luxembourg-city (train-station) Animals are accepted, please note that I ask a fee of 12€/animal/night
