Swallows Nest ~ Come and unwind...
Blaze Farm is a working hill farm with Swallows Nest being a converted hay loft! Our luxury studio has a King size bed, kitchenette - topped off with granite - and an en suite shower room. Did we mention the underfloor heating throughout..??!! All bedding and towels are provided. Its a perfect hideaway for couples and an ideal base from which to explore an abundance of rock climbing and great walking routes including The Roaches and Shutlingsloe. Not suitable for babies or young children. If you don't fancy dining out, the kitchenette at Swallows Nest has everything you'll need: a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and oven. Why not walk to the local pub or visit one of the local towns to eat: the spa town of Buxton is close by and the popular market towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne are both within 30 minutes drive away. Not to mention Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Tissington Hall..! We have an ice cream parlour and tea room on site which is open all year round from Wednesday to Sunday, 10am-5.30pm, so we’re often quite busy, especially on sunny days. All our ice creams are made on the farm as are our delicious cakes so make sure you come and sample some..! Swallows Nest is within the converted buildings where the tea rooms and ice cream parlour are set with the farmer living on site too, so there's always someone around to answer any questions. Wildboarclough is a small, quiet village with a few pubs scattered within the area - one in walking distance of Swallows Nest..!! The local towns of Macclesfield, Buxton, Congleton and Leek are also within an 8 mile radius so handy enough to go and potter around. Unfortunately there is no public transport in the area of Wildboarclough so travelling to us by car will make your trip easier for getting about. We have ample car parking at the farm when you come and stay at Swallows Nest so everything’s very handy for you. There are many walks to be enjoyed in the area - some require you to drive to the start point where others can be walked to from the farm. We have lots of local knowledge so if in doubt, just ask!!
