A spacious, bright, recently decorated single room with storage and automatic adjustable bed in my warm, clean, well-maintained modern semi-detached home. Portable aircon may be available. Flexible check-in/check-out available via lockbox. My peaceful home is in the lovely Hertfordshire village of Watton-at-Stone, a few minutes walk from the station for regular easy access to Hertford, Stevenage [major rail hub], London underground, central London, Heathrow, Stansted & Gatwick airports. Easy access to J6/7 on A1M, A10, M25 and M11. Garage available for car/bike. Village facilities include 2 gastro-pubs (Website hidden by Airbnb) Crumbs Bakery and Cafe, Londis & Chinese takeaway. Excellent local walking and cycling. You are welcome to relax in the garden, which has artificial grass so you [and your dog], won’t get muddy feet [paws] if it’s been raining. Your own food can be kept in a dedicated cupboard, and shelves in the fridge/freezer. Meals can be prepared in the kitchen. The bathroom, with comfort-height toilet and power shower was refurbished in January 2021. A double en-suite room is also available. See www.airbnb.com/h/anneinwatton Double airbed available if required at a small extra charge per night. I am not fully disability-friendly, but if you have limited mobility, please contact me to let me know your particular needs are, and I will do my best to help. A sofa bed is available in the lounge and a comfort-height toilet downstairs cloakroom, refurbished July 2021. Unfortunately the clockroom is not wheelchair friendly. Portable aircon and free-standing electric fans also available. You are welcome to relax in the garden, which has artificial grass, so you [and your dog], won't get muddy feet [paws], if it's been raining. You'll have a shelf in the fridge/freezer and can prepare your meals in the kitchen at reasonable hours. We share the main bathroom, but a downstairs cloakroom, ensures no-one gets caught out. Interaction with Guests - I am happy to advise on local walks, days out, where to eat, public transport and tourism, if required. Village facilities include café, 2 gastro-pubs, café, and Chinese takeaway. For little ones, I live next door to the playground. Excellent location for walkers and cyclists. Watton at Stone could not be better placed for East Anglia and London tourism. Easy rail access to London, local history in Hatfield, St Albans, Hertford, Old Welwyn and the many delightful market towns along the old coaching route from London to York. But the beautiful countryside and many quaint Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire villages are well within easy driving distance. Getting Around - The local bus to Hertford and Stevenage, and rail station, are all within a few minutes walk. Village taxi available. Uber available in village. Your own dedicated off-street parking place. You may bring your bike/motorbike, which can be garaged. I don't have a dog, but your small-medium size, well-behaved dog is very welcome to accompany you. Dog bowl available.
