Grandma´s cottage

In our village house we tried to retain its character as a typical farm house from first half of 19th century. You can find here some pieces of authentic furniture - beds in the bed room, table, old sewing machine. Many our friends felt very fine due to friendly and positive spirit of the house. I´m absolutelly convinced you will enjoy your stay. Our guests have the whole house at their disposal, so they have access to the kitchen connected to the living room, to the two bedrooms and to the bathroom with toilet. Under the stairs there is storage space for skis and bicycles. There is a sun terrace and a large garden. I´m prepared to help our guests with their questions and problems. Turčianske Kľačany is calm village, located nearby city Vrútky and Martin. To the city centre of Martin it is approximately 10 km. You can enjoy atmosphere of village and city. In the village there is a sheep farm with restaurant, minizoo and playground for children. They offer local homemade products such as - sheep cheese, sausages, bacon etc. Everything is produced here. A hiking trail connects village with chalet Kľačianska Magura. There is also a forest path for bikes. The hiking trail leads to mountain ridge of Small Fatra. There are many possibilities of sport and relax next to our village. You can swim in natural lakes nearby, go cycling, running, or inline skating. You can enjoy iron hiking trail to Martinské Hole named Ferrata HZS and explore the most beautiful valleys - Gaderská valley, Blatnická valley, Necpalská valley. There are three winter ski centres: Martinské Hole, Snowland Valča and Jasenská Dolina. They offer possibilities of skiing, snowboarding, bars and restaurants for complete service. During summer you can here find many cycling ways for road and also for MTB bikes in whole region of Turiec. For downhill cycling there is Bike Park in Jasenská valley. The Turiec region is actually a picturesque valley, surrounded on all sides by mountain ridges. In winter, there is the possibility of skiing in up to three ski resorts: Martinské Hole, Snowland Valčianska dolina or Jasenská dolina. If you fancy, you can reach two other resorts within 40 minutes: Kubínska Hoľa and Skicentrum Krahule, or the cross-country ski area in Skalka near Kremnica. Skialp in Mala and Veľká Fatra is also an inseparable offer of winter activities, not to mention the possibilities of winter tourism. The town of Martin and its surroundings offer historical monuments such as the three buildings of the Matica Slovenská, the County House, the Museum of the Slovak Village, the Gothic Catholic Church of St. Martin from the 13th century, the National Cemetery and many more. Gastronomy, good food, that's what our guests will find with us. On the day of arrival, but also during the stay, we can offer our guests typical Slovak or Mediterranean dishes according to the menu, which they can request when booking. Thus, upon arrival, they can relax and unwind and enjoy gastronomic specialties.
