Home Lea is a quirky brick and flint cottage located on a quiet lane in the village of Docking. 10 minutes drive from Brancaster beach and the village of Burnham Market and a short drive from the beaches of Holkham and Wells-Next-the -Sea. Perfect location for exploring North Norfolk, families, walking and bird-watching. Free unlimited WiFi, small courtyard,log burner for cosy weekends in the winter. Minimum stay varies. The cottage is a brick and flint build typical of the area dating back to 1846. There is a small enclosed courtyard to the side of the property with a bistro table and chairs for 2 ideal for morning coffee. The listing is for the whole cottage which has 3 bedrooms , 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single. It has 2 reception rooms, a sitting room with 2 sofas, a log burner for cosy winter evenings with fireguard and a smart tv. A separate dining room with a table to seat 5. Kitchen with washing machine, microwave etc. Downstairs bathroom with over bath electric shower. Free unlimited BT Broadband WiFi. If you have any queries or concerns during your stay please contact us. Home Lea is located on Middle Road in Docking. A quiet lane between Stanoe Road and Fakenham Road. It is 10 minutes drive from Brancaster beach, please note tides affect the car parking down at the beach. Renowned beaches of Holkham and Wells-Next -the -Sea are 25 minutes drive along the coast. Many of the beaches are dog friendly. RSPB Titchwell and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust centre at Cley provide excellent birdwatching. The popular village of Burnham Market with it's independent shops is 5 miles away. Sandringham House and gardens, Hunstanton and King's Lynn are within 20 miles with the city of Norwich being an hour's drive away. Provisions can be found at the small local Spar shop in Docking or Morrisons and Tesco in Fakenham and Sainsburys in Hunstanton. Delis at Burnham Market, Thornham, Hunstanton, and Blakeney stock a good selection of produce. The fish and chip shop (open Tues-Sat) is a few minutes walk on the main road. An abundance of coffee shops and restaurants such as the Bircham Stores in Great Bircham, The Gin Trap at Ringstead, The Jolly Sailor at Brancaster Staithe and The Duck Inn at Stanhoe provide lots of opportunities to eat out. Parking for one large car is available to the side of the cottage on East Lane half on half off the road. It is best to approach the cottage via East Lane off the Stanhoe Road. Public transport to the village is limited. Towels for use in the cottage are provided but we request that you bring your own beach towels.
