A mile from the Gorge Bridge and Nat’l Park Visitors Center with immediate access to the road, bordering the New River Gorge National Park and only a few minutes to Fayetteville and Oak Hill. This shabby chic remodel features a hot tub, patio balcony, private yard, scenic views, campfire and grill area, Roku tv, and fast wi-fi. Priced for 2 guests; add $25/person/night for 3+ guests (6 max). Bring yard games, camp chairs, and charcoal. :) Bordering the New River Gorge National Park. 0.2 mile (less than 1 minute) from US-19. 1 mile from the New River Gorge Bridge, Canyon Rim Visitors Center, and Adventures on the Gorge. This cabin is a frequent choice for romantic getaways, family adventures, and long-term remote-work stays. Our AirBnB is a family project. Please use our things gently. Cell service is available, AT&T seems to have the best coverage in the area. Roku TV, WiFi and a charging station are provided. Bring your devices and connection cords (HDMI, USB, Ethernet, component, game consoles, etc), or connect to the TV via Bluetooth. Roku TV instructions are in the printed Guidebook. The internet connection is fast and should handle multiple devices streaming HD videos at the same time (49.4 Mpbs download; 10.3 Mpbs upload). A few favorite features of the Cedar Waxwing Cabin are the spacious balcony, outdoor hot tub, views of the large private yard and forest, watching birds and wildlife, and cleanliness. The hot tub is drained and sanitized after every check-out. Keyless entry will help you come and go with worry-free ease. Natural light fills the house as long as the sun shines. Each room is individually temperature controlled with an A/C window unit, baseboard heating, and ceiling fan. You'll find the Kitchen complete with appliances, wares, amenities and essentials, cleaning supplies, plenty of counter space, and cabinets luring you to peek into each one. City water is on tap. A coffee drip pot, Maxwell House coffee, sugar and creamer are provided. The dinner table is usually set-up for 4, but seats 6 - the leaf insert can be found tucked in a closet. Laundry is available if you need it: washer and dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, an iron, and a rod for hanging delicates to dry, and an ironing board. In the living room, get cozy on the pillow back sofa and loveseat. Play a board game, watch TV, laugh with friends, or snooze. You'll find a few games and books as you look around. The console table is your spot to take care of a little work or planning. There, you'll find the usb charging station, area things-to-do, and our Guest Book. Read through the Guest Book to see what previous guests recommend in the area, then leave a note for us to adore and future guests to enjoy. Down the hall, you'll find closets with bath linens, a hamper, emergency items, and other useful odds and ends. Feel welcome to look inside every door that opens. In both bathrooms, we've provided the essentials, including complimentary hairdryer, make-up removers, shampoo, body wash, moisturizer, lint roller, and hand soap. Each bedroom is furnished and has a walk-in closet, pillows, bed linens, and a plush blanket set aside for a little extra snuggle in your cozy. All used bedding is laundered after check-out (do not reshelve used blankets). A king room with a private bath, a double-bed room, and a day bed twin-trundle room (1 twin is tucked under the other). Bring your camp chairs, yard games, binoculars, and enjoy the spacious private yards. We've provided a stone campfire ring, roasting sticks, and a park-style grill. Buy firewood locally or from us. The Ceder Waxwing Cabin is named after the bird. The bird is sleek with hues of brown and gray, a black mask and accents of yellow and red. Watch for them year-round in the tree tops surrounding the cabin. *Do Not enter the attic or the basement - they are unfinished areas. Guests have access to the entire cabin with exception of the unfinished attic, unfinished basement, and a locked storage closet. Guests won't hear from me unless something comes up. Shop local wares and gear shops, dine in or out at locally owned restaurants, stop by craft breweries in Fayetteville and Oak Hill and surrounding small towns. Do not cross barbed wire fences or open gates that are closed. A horse named Sue and a donkey named Romeo may be in adjacent fields. They aren't ours. Sue and Romeo are usually really friendly; if you see them, treat them with careful and gentle respect. Check-out Instructions are here in the House Manual and printed on the refrigerator and in the printed Guidebook. A campfire grill grate and roasting sticks are provided - guest must clean and rehang them after use. A Park-style Grill is provided - guests must clean after use. Scrape the grill grate immediately and move debris and ash into the provided bucket. You'll need starter material, grilling oil, aluminum grilling foil, and hardwood lump or charcoal. A bristle-free scraper, spatula, fork, tongs, platter, and ash buckets are provided. Personal Chef, Rezan (pronounce ray-zon), offers personalized catered meals for individuals and large groups.
