Calm, quiet double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

Our home is a 4 bed detached, Victorian property , close to the centre of Hayfield village. The village is a fantastic starting point for many local walks of varying difficulty including Kinder Scout. The en-suite double bedroom is at the top of the house, with a separate seating area and offers fantastic views. The room is light and bright with tea and coffee making facilities, TV, wi-fi, mini fridge, en-suite with shower and fluffy towels and toiletries provided. A wonderful and relaxing place to return to after a day of walking, cycling, fell running or just ambling. Access to the room is through our front door and a key is provided on arrival. Do come and go as you please but if you need any assistance or have any queries, don't hesitate to ask. The room is at the top of the house and so through the front door and straight up the main staircase ahead. On the landing there is a further staircase to your private space. Breakfast is served in the dining room at a time to suit you and consists of a selection of cereals, fruit juice, yoghurts, toast and jams. If you would prefer a quick egg on toast then please ask! In our previous Airbnb home in Stockport I enjoyed many good conversations with our guests over breakfast, however if you would prefer peace and quiet I will disappear! Over the years we have visited Hayfield many times and enjoyed the area so much we eventually decided to move here permanently. The walks up and around Kinder Scout are incredible and Kinder Downfall takes your breath away, especially during frozen winter months. The village itself has many warm and friendly pubs serving excellent food. The local village store is also the post office and open until 8.00 pm every night, the newsagent opens at 6.00 am every day and there are some amazing tearooms and gift shops. All in all a fabulous place to stay! The nearest train stations are New Mills Central and New Mills Newtown, which are under 10 minutes drive away. There are local buses to the train stations but if I am around I would be happy to pick you up/drop you off. Both train lines take you to Manchester Piccadilly and New Mills Newtown is only a few stops before Buxton which is the spa town with theatre, Pavilion, gardens and festivals. One stop in the other direction from Newtown is Disley, close to Lyme Park - where Mr Darcy jumped in the lake! There is space for parking on our driveway or alternatively there is a parking area just as you turn off the by-pass into Hayfield Village on the right. There is also a lay-by directly opposite our home, (but please allow a good car length distance from the concealed entrance down to the allotments), whichever you find most convenient.
