Beautiful historic coach house conversion with 16th century origins, perfect for family, couples or business trips. Situated in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside this recently-renovated three bedroom home mixes rustic charm with contemporary design to make a chic and comfortable living space. We're 30 minutes from Alton Towers, 20 minutes from Shugborough, 40 minutes from Sudbury Hall, with its museum of childhood, and only 20 minutes from the museums of the Potteries. The Coach House is a Grade II listed building, formerly part of a coaching inn. The building provided garaging for coaches, stables for horses, and rooms for the groom. Great care has been taken to retain features which are of historical or architectural interest while at the same time providing luxury accommodation and 21st century comforts. The coach house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. From the front entrance there is a bright and airy open plan living area with a traditional country kitchen and a family dining area with beautiful rustic oak table and restored church pews. Next to the dining area is a cosy living area with a small log-burning stove, sofa seating for 6 and a TV with freesat tv and DVD player. The kitchen is equipped with a dish-washer, small fridge, and oven, with an induction hob. There is a high chair and kids cutlery available. Through the door and down the step you will find a utility room with a washing machine, ironing-board, microwave and large fridge-freezer. Further on down the hallway is the light and airy master bedroom and upstairs shower room. The whole of the upstairs floor and staircase is finished in oak. Down the stairs off the main living space are bedrooms two and three, and another bathroom with a large bathtub and overhead shower. The staircase has a safety gate. Bedrooms one and two have the option of twin single beds or one large super-king size bed. Please let us know what you want upon booking. The third bedroom has adult-sized bunk beds. There is also a cot and bedding which we can put up in whichever room you like. Bedroom two has wheelchair access. A good WIFI signal can be picked up throughout the building. Underfloor heating extends throughout the whole building and can be adjusted using touch pads in every room. We provide all bedding, towels, toilet paper, soaps, and kitchen utensils. Outside, there is private walled garden with secure parking for four cars, a cobbled area, and a lawn. The garden looks directly across fields where you will often see grazing sheep or cows, and birds of prey. Guests can check in on their own. The house has a private entrance, parking area and garden. Weddings: A lot of our guests book the night before a wedding at Sandon Hall, or at one of the many wedding venues in the area. When booking for a wedding, please consider booking for two nights so that the bride and bridesmaids don't have to rush to meet the 10.00am check-out time - they may want to spend a lot more time getting ready for an afternoon wedding. Having the second night also means that the house can be used for the bridal night, or that wedding guests can return to spend the second at night at the house rather than have to drive home straight after the reception. Situated in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside, this restored coach house was originally built in 1580 and extended in 1790. It is 100 yards from one of the best inns in the county, and 200 yards from the village shop. Amenities such as supermarkets and shopping are only 10 minutes drive away in Stafford (5 miles) or Stone (4 miles). This area has the highest density of stately homes in the Country. There are lots of local walks and Cannock Chase is only 20 minutes away by car. Other local attractions include Alton Towers, Ironbridge, The Black Country Museum, The Trentham Estate, The Wedgewood Museum, Drayton Manor and the Peak District. Birmingham, Manchester, and the East Midlands Airports are all within a one-hour drive. This is a rural area, so a car is the best form of transport. The nearest station is Stafford, which is 10 minutes by taxi. Sorry, but as a result of a very small number groups trashing the property, we DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES. Please DO NOT book if you are a young group intending to have a party. This is a very special property containing antique furniture and luxury fittings which doesn't take kindly to spilt drinks, confetti, vomit, and drug abuse. Thank you.
