Even in the 21st century Lechlade has hung on to many of the traditions of the past - from a game of Aunt Sally in the local to the jumping off the halfpenny bridge madness of midsummer. If you don't have a car then the bus service in both directions stops in the town square and is regular and well thought of. The closest surviving train stations are at Oxford, Didcot and Swindon.
