A wonderful place to stay, in a historic setting. Close to big towns and cities. Arras, Amiens, Montreuil. It is also possible to visit Paris by train on a day trip. London by Euro Star is also possible with the Calais Euro Star station only 57 minutes away, less than one hour by train to Central London. If you wish to visit Canterbury, the Euro Tunnel is also an hours drive from the Gite and in just over half hour you are in UK. The Gite is near many of the War Memorial Sites and Graves. A restful house for families with children or friends.The house to rent is well furnished and well equipped to cater for larger groups. We believe a self catering holiday should be as stress free as possible. For us, this means providing everything you need so you don't have to. We want you to save time, stress, planning, and space in your car by having all you need already at the house (see below). It has a downstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom and seperate toilet. There are a further three bedrooms on the first floor with a shared bathroom. The house also provided 2 travel cots and high chairs. We provide: Fully equipped kitchen (all crockery, cutlery, cookware and utensils. A selection of spices and condiments). Dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, sponges and tea towels. Bin bags and recycling bags. Hand-towels and liquid soaps in all bathrooms and toilets. Toilet tissue. Laundry liquid and fabric softener. We welcome guests on arrival and are on hand to assist if required but will not intrude in their holiday, unless you require us. We leave contact details for you to contact us in an emergency, should we not be on hand. Argoules is a beautiful small working village with a restuarant overlooking the central area. The house is 20 minutes stroll from historic Abbaye de Valloires, well worth a visit for its wonderful gardens. The Abbaye also has their own kitchen garden restaurant, coffee shop and small tourist shop which sell well chosen items to reflect their gardens and the ethos of the whole area. Argoules has many great circular walks and only a few minutes drive away are the marshes which are also great for wildlife and beautiful walks. We are also close to the forest of Hesdin, a very relaxing place to walk or picnic. Euro Disney is a 2 hour drive (approx.). Easy access to some big cities such as Arras and Amiens. You can reach many sandy beaches along the coast in around 25 mins. Such as Le Touquet, Fort Mason Plage and Quend plage. It is essential to have your own transport, either car or bikes. The courtyard is enclosed and ideal for privacy and children to play in. Security deposit - £100 or 100€ required either before arrival by bank transfer or in cash on arrival. Included electricity - March & April, Oct & Nov 500 units included in rental. May - Sept 300 units included. Additional units charged at 0.18€ per unit. It is unlikely you will need additional units, 300/500 will probably last you the week.
