Misty Lady is an idyllic retreat in the heart of the bustling town of Hebden Bridge. The fabulously comfortable and delightfully quirky Misty Lady is a newly-renovated 1960s wide beam boat full of character. With its own mooring on the Rochdale Canal this is a great location for exploring the wild and romantic Yorkshire Pennines and the beautiful Calder Valley. It is an ideal stop-off for the Pennine Way. *Under new ownership but Misty Lady has been an AirBnB for over 2 years already with fabulous reviews* "We don’t have enough good things to say about this adorable stay! It was clean and had all amenities provided, and the boat was so cosy and warm especially once we got the coal burner going!" Oct 2020 "An excellent stay, extremely clean and well looked after. Location was perfect, with some amazing walks local. Would absolutely love to stop again and would recommend to anyone looking for a cosy escape" Sep 2020 "Never experienced such a nice cosy experience. My 4 year old thoroughly enjoyed herself as did me and my partner. Up the road from all the shops and pubs and such a peaceful setting. Very homely. Thanks for our stay." July 2020 Newly-renovated with a nod to its sixties heritage, Misty Lady is a very comfortable home-from-home with luxury bedding, a cosy stove and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials ready for your stay - fresh milk, eggs, quality teas and fresh coffee, plus cooking basics such as oil, flour, sugar, etc. We have an honesty mini bar. Just pop your payment in the pot! And let us know if there is anything you'd like us to put in the fridge ready for your arrival. ** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A BOAT not a house! (We are stating the obvious, I know) Think of it as very luxurious glamping. In places headroom is limited** Sorry folks, but the boat is NOT SUITABLE for large groups of adults, big family reunions, hen parties, stag parties etc. The boat is in a peaceful setting and our neighbouring boaters enjoy the peace and quiet :) The whole boat is available for your private use. There is a bedroom with a double bed, a small wardrobe and ample shelves to put all your things. Luxury bedding is provided for you: duvet, pillows, bedlinen, cosy blanket. For additional guests in your party, there is a sofa in the living room that you can convert into a comfortable double bed. Luxury bedding, including pillows, duvet and bed linen are stored inside the sofa bed for your use. There is a small and perfectly-formed shower room, with shower, toilet and sink. Outside, there is also a lockable shed to store bikes, muddy boots and wet clothing. The boat has its own private mooring with terraced area so you can sit outside and watch the world... and other boats... go by. Check-in from 3:30pm. However, bag drop-off available from 12pm (just let us know if you'd like to do this). Hebden Bridge is famed for its funky and creative nature. Packed full of independent shops and bustling with a fantastically varied programme of events and activities, this small town in the heart of the Pennine hills will not cease to surprise you. And if it is fresh air, exercise and dramatic scenery that you're after, it is all there on your doorstep just begging to be explored! - Hebden Bridge train station: 5 minutes walk away - Buses to and from Halifax & Todmorden: 5 minutes walk away. - Town centre: you guessed it... 5 minutes walk away! - Historic Heptonstall: 20 minutes walk up a steep hill, or catch one of the regular buses from the town centre. The boat is just one mile from the Pennine Way. If you are planning to walk this, there are buses every ten minutes that will take you direct from the Pennine Way to the boat.
