House in the little village Parje.

Nice quiet place on the edge of small village Parje near Pivka town. Relaxing nature. Lots of spots to hike. House is situated 60 km from seaside (Piran, Koper, Rijeka, Opatija, Trieste) and same distance from Ljubljana. That is very practical for day trips if you stay longer. House is from the times of late socialism. It was my grandma's house. I want to hold it in mostly same condition that it was. You will for sure feel comfortable there and get some spirit from the time that has gone. It's typical house of late socialism in former Yugoslavia. It has some special felling of something between. Space around is in some ways special. In the hill near by you have old bunkers from the time between two world wars. Then on the other side of the village is a little cave in which they found traces of neanderthal. In the autum and in the spring the Pivka valley is even more attractive because in that season our valleys fills with water and we become a valley of seventeen seasonal lakes. You can visit Museum of seasonal lakes near by in village Slovenska vas. All places to visit are around 60 km away (seaside Piran, Koper, Portorož, Rijeka, Opatija, Trieste, Nova Gorica and our capital Ljubljana) I also recomand you to visit Škocjanske jame caves that are under protection of UNESCO. If you want to experience some local food I can arrange dinner or launch at our home. We have nice old fashion place where we can prepare meal for you if you are interested. Our special dish is meat prepare under the bell. You can use kitchen, 2 toilets, bathroom, living room, 3 bed rooms, , 3 park places outside. Somebody will always wait for you to give you key and prepare house. If there will not be anybody we gonna find other solution that you'll get the key. My father also has a nice place near by and if you want to eat something realy good from his kitchen it's worth to ask if he is prepared to cook for you. The place it's very quiet and if you need peaceful place to spend some days just a step from real nature this is place to be. The best way to come to Parje is by car or bike, because it's a little bit out 3 km from Pivka which is reachable also by train. Around the house is 4 parking places. House is not new and not for high demanding guests. But most of guest are very satisfied with house. Very comon for the familys who like nature, peace away from noisy traffic and smogy cities.
