Large and beautiful artist house with heated pool
This large house has an exceptional charm, mixing a rustic and typical architecture from Normandy with an artistic world, full of paintings and books, with a slight indian influence. The garden is secluded and very large, and the pool is heated from May to September. With six bedroom and three spacious living rooms, the house is ideal to welcome groups or large families. It is a calm and isolated place, but it is also near the coast, and many lovely towns from the region. The pool is open and heated from the beginning May to end of September. Big spaces can welcome large groups or families, inside and in the garden. But the house also has lots of more intimate spaces to find peace, including outside, in several mud houses around the house. In addition to the pool, we provide everything to play table tennis and badminton. There is also a good tennis court in the next village, with very affordable prices. You could also enjoy beautiful walks around the forests, the fields and the charming villages near the house. The house is just a 40 minutes' drive from the coast, where you can find the most lovely towns of the region, such as Trouville, Deauville, Honfleur, Villerville, Beaumont-en-Auge... You can also easily get to Caen, a beautiful town with a medieval castle and a great arts museum, very near the D-day beaches. You can also go and discover Rouen, with its famous cathedral and old town which inspired so many impressionist painters. There are lots of smallest towns to discover for their typical architecture such as Bernay and Orbec, very near the house. Towels and sheets are included. Pets are welcome. * Christmas holidays: We will only take bookings of one or two weeks. * The house and the garden are entirely accessible. You can call me anytime if needed. Also, my dad works just next to the house in the week, so he can easily drop by. The nearest town is Orbec. It's small and lovely, with medieval buildings. You'll find a supermarket as well as little shops with local products. The italian restaurant near the church is very good. There is a little market on Wednesdays morning. On your way to Orbec, there is a restaurant just on the side of the road called Le Moulin du Fossard. It's not very well placed but the food is excellent. The other close town is Lisieux, it's a bit bigger. There again you can find supermarkets and good restaurants. The market is on Saturdays. It is very famous for it's amazing basilica, which i worth seeing. There is a train station at Lisieux, and a bus stop just down the road from the house. But it is necessary to have a car.
