La Ferme de Franqueville

This charming and intimate farm, surrounded by its own farmland, lies quietly at the end of a small country road that still gives you easy access to the village of Sainte Marie du Mont, Utah Beach. The lodging is part of themain farm house, but is a contained unit that extends over three floors connected through a unique staircase. The two entrances can access the main court yard to the front or the garden to the back. This beautiful mansion with its slender shape is typical for the rich agricultural region of the ‘Plain Du Cotentin’. On the ground floor you’ll find the spacious kitchen and dining room with a large fireplace and adjoining toilettes. Two bedrooms are located in the first floor, both with king size beds. The third bedroom with one queen size and one single bed is situated in the second floor. All bedrooms contain their own bathrooms. The lodging has its private backyard with table and barbecue Nous pouvons volontier échanger avec nos hôtes qui le souhaitent Sheets and towels are not normally provided, but toilet paper and soap are available at least for the first few days. For travelers who cannot bring their own sheets we can exceptionally prepare them at an additional cost. In Spring 2021 we took over a former horse stud to practise organic and mixed farming on a space of 30 hectares based on agroforestry - all as part of a professional reconversion (please see my profile). The animals that we raise at the farm do all have local origins and heritage, like chicken and sheep from the Cotentin region, the geese from the Normandie and a horse with the traits of a Norman half-bred. As we just started our operation new trees are not planted yet and the plots - except for the market gardening lot - are kept as natural meadows. The breeding spots are all present and in the implementation phase.
