Double upper period apartment with stunning views

The apartment is part of an early 19c building, high up with interesting views from all the windows- across town, river, hills and sea. It is very spacious, recently renovated, with a beautiful natural light. The best part is the living room, with a seating area at the windows, direct access to the dining area and a cosy wood burner for the evenings. If calendar is booked, check out same place called 'flat with lovely views' (Website hidden by Airbnb) but then only private bedrooms and shared spaces. PLease note, when booking through Airbnb, the whole flat is available. However, if you don't mind sharing with other guests, I also use (Website hidden by Airbnb) under the title ' flat with lovely views', for renting private bedrooms, at different lower rates - the rest of the flat is then shared with other guests and myself. When booking with (Website hidden by Airbnb) I then live in a studio/bedsit within the flat , but only use the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. The rest of the flat is shared by all the guests staying in the three private bedrooms upstairs. When you have the whole apartment, through Airbnb, you have the following on two floors; first floor- a modern well-equipped kitchen, a large living room and dining area with wood burner, a newly fitted bathroom with toilet. Second upstairs floor- three bedrooms: a large kingsized bedroom / or made into a twin bedroom, a 2nd large kingsized bedroom with extra single bed / or made into three single beds.( also small child's single bed available) - All the bedrooms are light, calm and quiet spaces, with very comfortable beds- two rooms with views and the smallest room with a velux window. On this floor, there is also a modern walk-in shower with toilet as well as a separate toilet. However, please note that the apartment is two floors up so there is quite a climb up to it, but well worth the experience of unique 360 degree views of the town , river, sea and hills. The building is also on the Elizabethan Walls, so there are further steps up to that level , to reach the front door of the flat. Please read description above. As your host I will be available to help with your visit when required - either contactable by mobile or when you are sharing ( through (Website hidden by Airbnb) only) I will be working in my studio in the flat. I will also be there to greet all the guests to help them settle in and offer advice on places to visit, eat, drink, shop and where to buy local delicacies such as seafood etc. Favourite places in town: The Malting Cinema, Corner House Cafe and Mule on Rouge, shops pubs and restaurants on Bridge Street, three galleries, walks round the medieval walls, nearby beaches and Northumberland coastal walks. Dunbar, Eyemouth, ( Hippodrome for music lovers) St Abbs and Coldingham ( walkers , bird watching, nature and sea), Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses all nearby. Easy access by train to Edinburgh or Newcastle, for daytime and early evening visits but no really late trains back to Berwick from Edinburgh. Easy drive up to Edinburgh, just over an 1 hour- also can go by train 45 mins. Loads of coastal walking routes along the East Lothian, Borders and Northumberland coastline, Holy Island nearby, and access to St Cuthbert's Way. Easy access to Northumberland and Scottish Border villages and towns as well. Tourist information, pamphlets and maps are available in the flat. Free 24 hour parking available nearby ( but after 24 hrs need to leave for 4hrs before returning to same carpark) or other short term parking spaces available throughout the town (max 3hrs and costs £1 which you only pay once) stairs to climb up to the Walls and front door, plus two flights of stairs up to the apartment and then another flight of stairs up to the bedrooms.
