This villa is located in the region of Kladske Pomezí, in the eastern foothills of the Giant Mountains, where space, tranquility and natural beauty is waiting for you! The location is excellent. There are many attractions nearby such as the town of Trutnov with its shopping center, swimming facilities and eating establishments; the famous rock formations of the Adršpach National Nature Reserve; and the town of Teplice. 5 minutes away (by car) there is a swimming pool. Radvanice is a village with only 2,000 (very friendly) residents. A shop and restaurant lie within walking distance. The villa is situated on grounds of 700 m² which includes a landscaped garden with furnished terrace and covered barbecue. Children can play and swim in the children`s poop (3,5 m diameter, 1 m deep). The house has a garage and parking place within its fenced property. The villa is suitable for up to 7 persons. On the ground floor there is a garage, a laundry room with sink and washing machine and a furnace room (coal or wood-burning furnace. It is simple to keep burning but if this is not done, the system will automatically switch over to electric heating). Finally, on the ground floor, there is an indoor barbecue. On the first floor you'll find a hallway, a bathroom and a spacious living room furnished with a leather sofa, easy chairs, cabinets and a satellite TV. There is a separate dining area which contains a round table with chairs. The open kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with 4 burners and an oven, a microwave, coffee maker, kettle, fridge and of course, sufficient cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery. One of the two bedrooms is furnished with one double bed plus a desk with a computer which has Internet access. This makes it possible to connect freely to Skype. The other bedroom has two bunk beds with possibility to place an extra bed. The bathroom is equipped with a sink and bathtub. This house makes a perfect base for hiking and cycling. About 5 km away you have the opportunity to swim. There are many other attractions within driving distance such as Radvanice which is situated at the intersection of three beautiful nature reserves: the Giant Mountains, the Eagle Mountains and Broumovsko National Park. These sites provide a wide range of attractions and activities. The magnificent cities of Adršpach and Teplice are famous for their rock formations. They have been a popular tourist attraction since 1800. They are located just 10 km from the accommodation and offer numerous hiking, biking and climbing opportunities. The castles of Náchod (27 km) and Nové Město nad Metují (37 km) as well as the monastery of Broumov (30 km) and its surroundings are also quite impressive. The beautiful zoo of Dvůr Králové (with safari park, 36 km) and the cities of Trutnov (17 km), Hradec Králové (67 km) and Náchod (27 km) are worth visiting as well. Or travel by cable car from the tourist resort of Janske Lázně to the top of the Sněžka (1602 meters, the highest mountain in the Giant Mountains). This is also the starting point for wonderful hikes with unforgettable views of the Czech Republic and Poland. Or try one of the excellent tourist centers in the Giant Mountains such as Špindlerův Mlýn with its "Monkey Park" and summer toboggan run. Furthermore, a variety of sporting opportunities are possible here such as canoeing / rafting, horseback riding, mountain climbing, para-gliding, golf and (fly) fishing. At the end of the day it is nice to have dinner at one of the many good yet inexpensive restaurants in the area. When there is sufficient snow, you can ski right from the center to the house. All forms of winter sports are possible here: Alpine skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing. There are three lifts and the slopes have a total length of 1.5 km. The smallest lift is for children. The slopes are ideal for children, beginners and even those with more ability (blue and red). The cross-country trails are maintained daily. The prices are incredibly low. For example, a family day ticket (2 adults plus 2 children) costs about € 30, so for 5 days of skiing you will spend just € 150 (2007/2008 prices). There is a ski school for skiing, snowboarding and carving. For children there are special child classes. For very small children (3-6 years of age) there is a kindergarten class with an emphasis on playing and fun. Please make sure your children have safe equipment. Other facilities include a ski bar and ski and snowboard equipment rental servie. For those who do not want to be bound to one particular ski resort, in the neighborhood there are the ski resorts of Petříkovice (8.5 km), Mladé Buky (25 km) and Žacléř (33 km). In almost all areas night skiing is possible and there are (free) ski buses between the different areas. There are also places in the area for snow hiking and tobogganing. In the Czech Republic you get a cozy winter atmosphere for a low price! The rock formations of Adršpach, the Dvůr Králové Zoo and the Sněžka (the highest peak in the Czech Republic), are a special experience in winter. For closing an active day it is always nice to have dinner at a nice yet inexpensive restaurants in the area. Bed linen is available but you have to bring your own towels, washcloths and kitchen linen. Smoking is forbidden inside the house. You may only smoke in the basement or on the balcony. You can bring a pet (without additional cost) under the condition that you keep it away from the 1st floor.You will be requested, in accordance with Czech house rules, to wear slippers or house shoes indoors.
