A charming 160 year old 2 bedroomed period stone cottage in the small market town of Kirkbymoorside, 7 miles from Pickering and Helmsley at the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors. Have breakfast in the sunny orangery or relax infront of our cosy log burner after a busy day exploring. Walk to 4 pubs, several cafes and takeaways plus independent shops selling local produce and convenience stores. There's also a Market on Wednesdays. 10% discount on nightly price for weekly stays. Teds is dog friendly with a fully enclosed rear paved garden. We accept 2 dogs. You have the use of the entire house and garden. The bedrooms in the property are arranged over two floors with the double on the 1st floor and the twin on the top floor. The bathroom is located on the 1st floor. Please therefore consider this if bringing young children. We would not recommend that the twin room is suitable for children under 5 years old unless sleeping in a cot or with a Parent in the room due to the stairs leading directly into the room as is typical of a loft room. Our little town has an abundance of welcoming pubs and cafes minutes away and is very well served for takeaways too. The bus stop for the 128 bus route to Scarborough is almost outside of our door. This bus can take you to the popular slightly larger market towns of Helmsley and Pickering, just 7 miles away, and onwards to the popular seaside resort of Scarborough. We have tried to think of everything to give you the best possible experience visiting our cottage. Please note that the property is laid out over three floors. The stairways are narrow with full handrails. If you are bringing young children please be aware you will need to supply your own equipment such as cot, high chair etc as we do not have room to store these things on the premises. We do not recommend that the twin room is suitable for children under 5 years old unless sleeping in a cot or with a Parent in the room as the stairs lead directly into the room. After careful consideration due to limited storage, changes in rules relating to the leaving of and to keep costs down, we no longer leave a welcome pack at Ted’s. There is tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc for a warming drink on arrival plus a loo roll and a small supply of cleaning products accessible to guests. However, we expect you to bring things like this or pop over for supplies from our very handy Co-op once you’ve settled in to see you through your stay. Please read the check-in info carefully once it is accessible as this explains everything you need to know. You have the convenience of a self-check in so you can arrive at your leisure.
