Tunford Cottage Lodge is a Scandinavian designed timber lodge offering comfortable self-catering accommodation for two. The Lodge is situated in the garden of our thatched cottage and offers views across our garden to open countryside. We are located on the edge of the village of Oakhanger, with a pub and church, and six miles from Alton. The Lodge has been established for over 25 years and has proved very popular with our visitors from home and abroad. We adopt Airbnb's Cleaning Protocol. Oakhanger is a small rural village in Hampshire but within easy reach of major towns.There are no shops in Oakhanger but there is a pub - The Hanger Free House which is walking distance and serves a good menu. We are also in walking distance of The Chocolate Frog offering breakfasts, light lunches and delicious teas. There are numerous walks accessible from the Lodge, including Shortheath Common an area of Special Scientific Interest. Chawton the home of Jane Austen the English novelist is close by. Also the historic village of Selborne home of the famous naturalist Gilbert White. A car is essential. Off road parking is provided with access to an electric power socket.
