Railway and bus with connections to Sweden, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Halden, Fredrikstad, Moss , Oslo , Gardermoen airport and more. Local bus stops just outside the property - 40 m from the door. Free parking just outside the property. The neighborhood is nice and safe and you can walk to most of the city's attractions. There are 4 shopping centers in Sarpsborg, a number of restaurants and bars, football teams, ice hockey and several floorball teams in the Norwegian elite, a bustling music life, cinema and a square in the center where there are often events. The city was founded by the viking king Olav the Holy in 1016 and the many historic sites from the Stone Age and younger can be visited (stone carvings, stone rings, burial mounds, Borgarsyssel rural museum, Roald Amunsdsens home, Hafslund manor house, Borregaard manor house, etc.). The Glomma river runs through the city and the impressive waterfall has been the foundation of 2 of Norway's major industrial companies and it can be spectacular in the time of floods in May / June. Borregaard is claimed to the most advanced biorefinery in the world today. The Inspiria Science Centre and Borgarssyssel museum is also worth a visit.
