The Grain House

The Grain House is a little bit of luxury in the heart of East Anglia. It is a recently converted farm building and has been carefully designed to give guests maximum comfort, with a 5* AA rating. It is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and we are happy to take children of all ages and up to two dogs. The large, self-contained garden is totally private and fenced on all sides. There is plenty of parking. There are three Large bedrooms on the ground floor. The Lavender Room can be prepared as a twin or super king double, and the Vine room is a king size double. The third bedroom is a large dressing room attached to the Lavender Room and has a pair of comfortable futons that can be prepared as twin beds or a double. Please note that the Lavender Room is accessed through the dressing room and that these two rooms share a bathroom. Upstairs is the Rose Room that has twin beds and its own shower room attached. Guests have full private use of the house and garden. We (George and Sarah the owners) live in the next door property and both work from home. We are on hand to help if required. We will meet you on arrival and show you in to the property, but after that we will not disturb you unless you need any assistance. We are within a 45 minute drive of many of the regions best tourist attractions, including; Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Lavenham, Saffron Walden (Audley End House), Colchester Zoo, Duxford Air Museum and Newmarket Races to name a few. There is limited public transport available locally so your own car is recommended. As well as The Grain House we also have one of the regions largest wine merchants, a farm shop, cafe, butchers and gift shop on site.
