This turn of the century cabin over looks-a mill pond and is located on a private country lane with a few other cabins. You’ll enjoy the outdoors with hundreds of acres of woods, fields and trails. There is a fire pit for guest use by pond. The Cabin is located less than 15 minutes to Pico/Killington resort areas, Chittenden Reservoir, RT 100 lakes and Mtn. Top Inn. The Cabin is a fun place for couples, solo adventurers, and small families. One dog is allowed with a $40.00 fee per stay. This cabin was originally located on our dairy farm near the edge of Chittenden pond as a summer guest cabin. In the 60's, it was winterized and moved to the edge of our sugar woods as a ski rental for the exploding Killington /Pico area. Demand shrunk, due to on mountain condos. Recently we revitalized and renovated the whole cabin's interior with warm wide pine floors, exposed beams, log staircase, ceramic tile shower and a gas fireplace. This cabin is small but cozy and comfortable. High speed internet, cable TV, a new modern kitchen, and hundreds of acres of forest and fields make this unique place. You are welcome to roam freely over our farm and forest, which encompasses nearly 300 acres. We adjoin the Green Mtn National Forest. The Cabin is located on our private and well maintained road, which is accessible with any vehicle. We also offer our own Maple Syrup for sale, produced in our sugarhouse, 100 feet from the Cabin. Head down to the pond, sun on the dock or jump in for an invigorating swim. Bring your fly rod and practice your casting! We live off site, but are available for questions via phone or email, or one of us can drop by if needed. The Cabin is just 2 miles down the road from the Wooden Barrel Country store, that has all your basic needs. The Chittenden reservoir and recreation area is also near by as well for swimming and/or boating. The Cabin is close to major snowmobile trail access points and is 10.5 miles from Killington Road, and 8.5 miles from Pico Ski area. The nearby City of Rutland has many restaurants and amenities too. You will need a vehicle to get around. Ubers are not common, but there are buses available to Killington and Pico. There is a brand new gas grill and deck furniture. Please note the stair access to loft.
