Harrow - Country cottage near the coast

Harrow Cottage has been converted from a Suffolk cart lodge to create a pretty holiday cottage tucked away in the stunning Suffolk countryside. Carefully restored to preserve the original character of the former cart lodge with hay loft above, Harrow is a semi-detached cottage with lots of natural light, stylish furnishings, cosy living area with a wood-burning stove and excellent kitchen/dining facilities. When converting the barn to the cottages we wanted to provide a little luxury for our guests so each bedroom has its own ensuite bath/shower room facilities. We also have zip and link twin beds so can provide two double bedrooms for two couples travelling together. The cottages do not have their own private gardens but there are areas around the cottages where our guests can find their own space. Plus we have five acres on the property where guests can walk and play with their pets and children and find the hens and the goats, although we do ask our guests not to feed the animals without supervision. We offer shared laundry facilities and two freezers should they be required. The stables next door to the cottages are also an area where bikes can be stored safely. The village of Yoxford has very good amenities starting with two pubs, the Kings Head and the Griffin, plus a very good corner shop for newspapers and groceries, a lovely cafe called G&T's which is excellent for freshly prepared meals and cakes, Mains Restaurant which also has excellent evening meals from Thursday to Saturday inclusive and a wonderful bakery and brunch on Saturday mornings until 1 pm. There is an excellent farm shop in the next village 'Emmerdale' with locally reared meat, vegetables, etc., and a tea room - also good for breakfasts. The local villages have some excellent pubs and shops and the beaches along the Suffolk Heritage Coast are only 15 minutes drive.
