Normal Hill Cottage
My home is close to Lewis-Clark State College, SJRMC, Downtown Lewiston, the levee bike and walking trails. You’ll love my cottage because of it's location on Normal Hill, an older section of the city. Guests can enjoy breakfast on the patio from May to September. My home is good for a couple, friends or siblings traveling together, but guests must be able to navigate stairs because the bedroom is in the basement, perfect for a quiet night's sleep. The bedroom is in the basement, cool in the hot summer, decorated with my mother's quilts. Guests can read and relax in an antique rocking chair. The basement bathroom has heated tile floors and laundry facilities guests can use. My sewing room in the basement doubles as a small kitchenette; computer work space, and dining space. I was happy to share my kitchen space with my guests before the COVID Pandemic. Now, I prefer people use the kitchenette in the basement. I think people will enjoy the patio, which is filled with annual flowers. I am retired, but participate in lots of volunteer activities. I love mornings and awake early for prayer time with a cup of coffee, followed by a walk on the levee or around the neighborhood. I enjoy visiting with people and might be available in the evening to share a glass or wine or a light meal. Old mansions and small cottages make the Normal Hill area a desired residential area. My home is near the high school and the young voices delight me, especially when then cheerleaders or marching band practices for local parades. My guests can park off street, in front of my garage in the alley north of my home. The college and hospital are short walks away. The downtown area with a great library and restaurants is about a 15 minute walk down the hill. I love to bake and will provide muffins and/or homemade granola for a quick breakfast.
