Delightful double room near Farnham - Room 1
A clean and spacious room with all the comforts to enjoy a good night's sleep. The room is in a large and quiet Georgian farmhouse on the outskirts of Farnham, very well located for connecting with motorways or rural hideaways. Good wifi connection with desk and reading area. The bedroom is situated at the far end of the house from a generous landing with a tea/coffee area. It has a separate staircase and a guest kitchen. It is a quiet house with 2 elderly residents occupying the front wing and a separate kitchen. It's a typical Georgian farmhouse. Guests are free to use the separate guest kitchen that has cooker, larder, fridge, toaster and kettle. The shower room has been recently refurbished and is shared. I am usually here to welcome guests and see that they have everything they need to enjoy their stay. This is a great location for all amenities and connections. There's plenty to do in and around Farnham and London is about 1 hour's drive or by train from Guildford, Farnham or Aldershot. There's plenty of pubs serving decent food/drink and some good shopping areas eg Farnborough retail park or Guildford for boutiques, cafes etc. Lots of great countryside to walk in too eg Frensham Pond, Hankley Common, the North Downs etc etc. Great off-road and on-road cycling area too. Access to public transport: 7 minute walk to the bus stop to Aldershot and Farnborough. Trains from Farnham/Guildford/Farnborough ranging from 5-15 minutes by car. Cycling to Farnham takes about 15 minutes and there's a good route along the River Wey (avoiding the A31/A331). Heathrow airport takes about 30 minutes and by taxi costs £45-50. Gatwick takes about 40 minutes by car but there is a direct train from Guildford. Farnborough airport is about 10 minutes away by car. The permanent residents of the house are elderly. They occupy a separate wing and have their own staircase, kitchen, bathroom etc.
