Contemporary private lodge - St Mary Bourne

Come and have a relaxing break in our recently built self contained lodge house set in the stunning Bourne Valley in the heart of Hampshire. In a beautiful village with wonderful walks, pubs and plenty to do. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and a conservation area and yet near to the tourist delights of Highclere, Winchester, Salisbury and Stonehenge, or take a tour around the Bombay Sapphire Distillery. This is an ideal stopover for the Clock Barn - a popular local wedding venue. Our light and airy lodge has an open plan living area. The kitchen end is fully fitted with fridge/freezer, hob, electric oven, washer/dryer and a big kitchen table with stunning views out of the large double doors over the valley. The sitting room end has three comfy double sofas, a 55 inch TV with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime TV. Again it has stunning views through large glass double doors across the valley, over looking the Bourne Valley Hampshire countryside. On this ground floor, there is also a shower and loo with plenty of hot water. Upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms, one twin and one double. There is a bathroom and separate loo and both bathrooms have heated towel rails. The annexe is modern and warm in the winter, but has a feeling of being part of the garden with both pairs of double doors open in the summer. Use of tennis court and swimming pool (in the summer!) with owners permission. Outside the annexe there is a garden table and chairs and use of sun loungers. St Mary Bourne has a thriving village shop, 2 pubs and is set in a Bourne Valley, part of the Test Valley, with the Test Way running through the village. This location has the best of both worlds - set in outstanding countryside but close to local amenities. Our nearest pub the George, has been fully refurbished recently opened up under new management. It does fantastic pub food and is avaialble for takeaways or a short walk through the village. The Bourne Valley Inn also serves delicious food and has a beautiful garden looking over the Bourne river. Perfect for sunny al fresco dining. The local area has fantastic cycling routes both on and off road. There are plenty of local walks or you can relax and enjoy the beauty of the views in the comfort of the lodge. We also have a number of very good golf courses a short drive away. Whitchurch Station, Andover Station. Local Bus service. Please note that the parking is for a maximum of 2 cars
