The Willow Studio: Country & Seaside retreat.

The Willow Studio is located in the picturesque village of Dargate, close to the vibrant seaside town of Whitstable and the historical city of Canterbury. It is perfect for those looking for a country retreat. Walking distance to our local gastro pub "The Dove" Ample free car park. The Willow Studio is a self-contained apartment attached to a large family home.It has an en-suite double bedroom, lounge with double sofa bed (at a small charge of £15 extra per night) and fully equipped kichenette. It has its own private garden area for guests' and there is ample off road parking. Guests access the Studio through a shared door into the utility area. Guests can use the washing machine, tumble dryer on request. I will always try my best to be there to welcome you and show you around. In the event that I am not available, the keys will be in a combination key safe, which I will give you the code to, there will also be a helpful handbook to help you find your way around! Tea & Coffee are complementary. We live in the main house, so are on hand to provide anything you might need to make the most of your stay. Whilst we are nearby, we understand your need for privacy and will keep as low a profile as you wish us to! The area: If you like walking you are in the right place. There are an abundance of walks to try. There is a nice short walk in the wood close by. From the house turn right, at the Pub turn left, then keep straight until you reach the white house on the corner where you will see the pathway into the wood. Whitstable: Famous for it’s oysters, a fishing and harbour town with an abundance of cafes, restaurants and shops and only 5 mins by car. Seasalter: A sand and shingle beach can be found in the village of Seasalter, only 5mins by car. Faversham: A beautiful market town (the oldest one in Kent), is bursting with history and located on a winding creek. With an amazing array of independent shops and places of interest, if you get the time it’s worth a visit and just 5 mins away. There is often a market there on a Saturday and Shepherd Neame is worth a visit as the oldest brewery in the country. Canterbury: A cathedral city, famous for it’s stunning architecture and buildings. We recommend a leisurely boat trip down the river stour, a tour of the cathedral and for the brave, the famous ghost tour. 10mins by car. Ramsgate /Margate are slightly further away (c. 30 mins). They are well worth a visit as offer beautiful sandy beaches, the world famous Dreamland (amusement park) and the Tate Modern. A great local Pub with home cooked food and beer garden. Depending on the day, they will deliver takeaway pizzas. We have a little dog Pudsey, it is an adorable Cockapoo.Please make sure to close the gate. Also we might have other guest on site as we have a shepherd hut .
