olga's house halikounas (a few steps from the sea)

This traditional house is located in Halikounas, a virgin, protected area on the southwest coast of Corfu. It is built a few meters above of the most beautiful beach of corfu. Quiet for families and romantic for couples, and therefore it is the ideal destination for your holidays. The house is 100 m2 and is built on a 5000-m2 yard full of fig, olive, lemon and pine trees. The apartment is in the upper floor of the house with a separate entrance, and it consists of a comfortably furnished living room with a fireplace and a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, three bedrooms where 6 to 7 people can sleep comfortably and three large balconies, one with a view to the lake and the sea.The floor is made from marble. There are electric fans at the three bedrooms in case you feel hot. On the ground floor there is a 50m. renting appartment and it consists of two bedrooms where can sleep 4 personnes, a kitchen and one (Website hidden by Airbnb) windows have nets so the guests are protected from the insects. You can spend your time swimming in the crystal waters or taking part in water sports ( kite,surf ) or walking in the nature exploring the lake and the mountains of the surrounding area..The team of kite surf organizes bicycle tours in southern corfuThe horse riding scool is always available if you wish to ride a horse at the beach. But if you don t like sports you just can relax at the sun beds under the pine trees in the yard of the house just listening to the waves and the birds. During your stay always are offered welcoming meals,fruits from the garden .greek coffe and home made plates. The guests can walk around the garden and see the different kind of (Website hidden by Airbnb) s allowed to sit at the big table under the cones trees, use the swing and take their shower at the garden. I am always available to help you and answer any questions you might have. My mother sometimes stay at the flat on the ground floor, and she is available to help as well. Besides the beautiful beach and Lake Korission, there are two restaurants in the area offering delicious local food (like sofrito, pastitsada, moussaka, souvlaki and fresh fish) and two bars by the beach. Every morning you can get fresh bread, cookies and cheese pies from a passing van. Near the house there are neighbors and you can buy their bio products(olives, potatoes olive oil, tomatoes pepper) . The nearest stores are in Agios Mattheos or Moraitika, which are 4 km away from the house, respectively. The Byzantine fortress of Gardiki, built by Michael the despot of Epirus, is nearby and is worth a visit. The famous Achilleio museum is 20 min. away from the area.Also there are many villages at the mountain where you can admire the view of South corfu and walk at the steps.. The guests is good to have their own car if they want to be intepedant and visit the beauties of the island. There are green busses which the last stop is at the nearest villages (4km away) Yoga lessons, reflexology and Thai massage are always available for the guests.
