Charming barn, double en-suite room

Beautifully decorated converted barn ensconced in the countryside yet only 30 mins to London by train. Possibility of second bedroom with access to same private bathroom as listed bedroom available for an additional cost. Please ask for more information. The guest room is completely private with en suite bathroom. The bedlinen & towels are of the best quality & are always freshly laundered. Complementory quality toiletries & slippers. This is a family home, not a motel. LGBT friendly Decorated with objects from all over the world, the barn is a warm and inviting, homely space to enjoy walks in the countryside. The private woods across the road from the house are accessible to anyone staying at The Old Barn and are wonderful to walk through, quite often with deer to be seen. The Old Barn Foyle Riding was formerly the music hall to world famous cellist, Beatrice Harrison. The Harrison family dedicated their lives to music and gained the respect of leading composers and performers of their day, setting a precedent in the History of English music. The house became a haven for numerous composers including the likes of Elgar, Delius, Cyril Scott and Gerald Moore to name but a few. The garden at Foyle Riding is famed in the early days of radio, as the BBC recorded Beatrice live, playing her cello in the garden to the nightingales who sang with her. The Old Barn is also available to host private events, from intimate birthday lunches to lavish parties and weddings. We have our own caterers who would be more than happy to discuss all of your food needs. Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden. Your room is an en-suite with a free standing bath and hand shower. I will provide you with a continental breakfast in the morning. Off road private parking spaces available. Please note my dog, Suki, sleeps in the kitchen and the front gates will need to be kept closed if she is outside. If you are not keen on dogs I can make a special arrangement for her not to be present. I am happy to help you with dinner reservations and places of interest to visit. If I'm available I'm more than happy to drive you into Oxted. Fabulous restaurants nearby, many small villages and towns and the whole of Surrey to explore. It is suggested that you make reservations for restaurants etc in the area as they are often booked up. If travelling by train, where possible I will pick you up from Oxted train station, which is a 10 minute drive away. If travelling by car to The Old Barn please use internet Maps as it will give you the exact location. Look out for the Union Jack flag. Please do contact me with details of your timings and any special food requests i.e. gluten free, vegan etc. I charge a £10 cleaning the fee will be included in your booking payment. If you require clean towels and bedding please do ask otherwise these will be changed weekly.
