A tranquil spot in the Kent countryside, in the village of Hernhill which is close to Canterbury and Whitstable. A cosy unit with plush composting toilet and camping soak away shower (collecting hot water from outside our home) accessible from within the the hut for sole use. No electricity but solar power for lights, charging mobiles etc. This delightful glamping holiday home is surrounded by a spacious ‘wild garden’. BBQ area and fire pit with logs supplied. Parking next to the garden. You have a large enclosed garden which only guests can use. We are encouraging a wild garden and therefore it changes during the year to the extent that it needs attention during the week. Therefore possibly one day of a weeks stay will require a gardener to be in attendance. Parking on site, close to the garden gate. I am always ‘on duty’ when I have guests. I am never too far away as I live in the house above the unit. I am contactable at any time to help with directions, lifts to local towns, extra cooking pots etc. I have back up gas for the heater and for the camping stove, which is supplied free of charge. A simple breakfast of croissants, fresh rolls or eggs (have chickens) is included in the booking and can be delivered between 8-10am. (I can provide local produce for meals if you are staying on business) Fresh water is supplied for washing up and teeth-cleaning. Hot water is available in the mornings but I can turn on during the day if requested to do so. I will leave you in peace unless requested to do otherwise but I will show you around on your arrival to ensure you know where everything is. There are seven properties close by. A large converted barn which comprises of four properties and three others ‘up the road and round the corner’. You will be staying in a tranquil ‘hamlet’. You have an amazing view of orchards and the local landscape. You are surrounded by footpaths and country roads which are wonderful to explore. There is a pub 5 minutes walk away in Hernhill and others close enough ii you are prepared to venture a little further - 30 mins max brisk walk. Mount Ephraim gardens are open April to October. There is a bus service from both Faversham and Whitstable. I can collect from either railway station on request. The bus route from Canterbury stops at Boughton-under-Blean and it is a pleasant 30 minutes walk, or I can collect.
