The Badgers Run Shepherds Hut

Badgers Run Shepherds Hut is a 23 foot renovated hut situated overlooking five former Medieval Fish Ponds which is part of a Historic Moated Site at Blackham Court. Blackham Court is a working mixed farm on land running down to the banks of the Medway boasting spectacular views across this historic farming landscape. The wildlife is abundant and often noisy at night. Sun sets amazing, as are the rainbows that span the valley. As the seasons slip from one to the next they have their own beauty. The pictures show the designer features of Badgers Run that will ensure your relaxed and very comfortable stay to include the full sized bathroom with shower, sumptuous double bed and cute kitchen area including a gas hob and microwave, all designed for a stress free visit. There is a area of decking overlooking the Medieval Fish Ponds, paddock and woodlands beyond, beautiful in all seasons and so ancient. Exclusive use of the paddock surrounding the hut, The Estate Office is open 9-5.30 each weekday for enquiries and assistance. We have a "meet and greet" policy and assistance on site at the weekends and evenings. Access to washing and drying facilities. If you wish a Spa stay or treatments we have on site a gym, beauty therapist, physiotherapist and psychotherapy practitioners and a Yoga studio. We have a COVID-19 questionnaire and compliance policy to be adhered to in these challenging times. Badgers Run is in the heart of the Sussex countryside with walks, safe bike trails, grazing offered if you wish to bring your own horse and enjoy the many beautiful off road Bridleways direct from the farm. Dogs welcome if friendly, as our own dogs roam freely and enjoy the many walks on the Ashdown Forest. The seaside town of Eastbourne and the famous Seven Sisters Chalk Downs are an easy hour drive. Tunbridge Wells, East Grinstead and Crowborough are the nearest towns. Country Pubs in abundance for great food and atmosphere. We are so close to several stately homes and beautiful gardens well worth a visit at all times of the year. Ashurst station is a half hour walk away via a Public footpath across fields beside the river Medway and has an hourly service to London Bridge. Bring your bike or we can collect you from your train either at Ashurst or Tunbridge Wells. There is ample parking, and a bike shed. Our Shepherds Hut is sited in a paddock surrounded by grassland and access is through a small Orchard so we strongly advise you to bring waterproof footwear to wear out and about during you stay with us. The car park at Blackham Court is well-lit at night and we do provide touches in the Hut.
