House is located 25 min from Sea-Tac International Airport, 35 - 40 min from Seattle by car, 5 min from downtown Federal Way (city of 90,000), 5 min from the beach at Dash Point State Park (you may also walk there on several well-traveled trails through the park forest which surrounds us), and 3 minutes from 2 different beautiful golf courses as we are located between them! Larger (3300 sq.ft) home in newer upscale neighborhood. Clean, creatively decorated rooms with nice furnishings (bed, desk, bookshelves, dresser), and large closets. You can choose to stay in our extra large studio apt. size room, which has a comfortable Queen size futon. This room has a lot of personality with gabled ceilings over the 2+ car garage. Or there are 2 spacious bedrooms with a lot of color and charm. All the rooms have large windows with a territorial view, or choose a view of our private English style garden. Neighborhood is close to Dash Pt.State Park trails and beach, and near bus lines. Includes Comcast TV & High Speed Internet via WiFi. 2 Luvable Dachshunds live here too, and are good watch dogs. AIRPORT PICKUP/DROPOFF AVAILABLE -- Prearrange with me and I'll come get your whole party for $20 (1way) when my schedule allows; otherwise there's nonstop bus to Federal Way Transit Ctr. and can meet you there if my sked is tight. And if I'm unable to meet you at all, there's "Supershuttle" van transportation, or taxi right to my doorstep, not to mention city bus system with 1 transfer at the Federal Way Transit Center. BREAKFAST is do-it-yourself, please let us know what you would like, and we will make it available. BATHROOM: Big bright bathroom with skylight, and a full size mirror over the large vanity, and a shower/tub with a rain shower head. SIGHT-SEEING: The Pacific NW is known as one of the most scenic and beautiful areas of the world. We are within 2hrs drive from 3 fantastic snow skiing resorts. Or take in a Huge View of Mt.Rainier right from our neighborhood or up close with a drive to Mt.Rainier State Park. We are 20min drive to several famous museums, including the Wash.State History Museum, Dale Chihuly Museum Of Glass and Lemay's Car Museum. ENTERTAINMENT: We are 5 min away from a couple of beaches on the Puget Sound for relaxing, are between 2 golf courses and driving ranges to practice your game, or movie theaters for your entertainment. You are welcome to use the kitchen and our grill is also available. We have plenty of parking for your car in our safe neighborhood. Our goal is to provide the best hospitality, and we are at your beck and call to make your stay in our home very memorable. Starbucks is within a 5 min drive or 20 minute walk and every kind of restaurant is close by from casual to dress up, with featured cuisine from every range of ethnic background. We have a bus route within 5 minutes access to our home, and it takes you up to the Federal Way Transit Center. And if you want to go to Seattle, you can drive 15min or take the Rapid Ride bus up to our new light rail station onward to Seattle. Further your adventure by hopping onto our trendsetting World's Fair Monorail in Seattle and finish the journey right underneath the Space Needle! Whatever you would like to do is within reach, if you want to go to the beach, shopping, ride the Sounder or Metro bus to Seattle or the airport or go to the movies. If you want to go for a run, bike, or hike, our neighborhood borders Dash Point State Park which is on the Puget Sound, and we are right down the street from the trails access. Kitchen, Laundry room, Bathroom & Downstairs Powder Room, Backyard I do have ample parking in front of my house, it is a very safe feel upscale neighborhood. But if needed, we have a reference to contact Uber (affordable private driver), or Shuttle Express van, or there is public transportation @ the entrance to the neighborhood, which is appx. 20min. to the Federal Way Transit Center. The bus is appx. 4 blocks downhill from my home and of course uphill back up to the house. There are much steeper hills though in another area of the neighborhood, if you really like a good workout challenge. Personally I've enjoyed the mental & physical workout within close reach of my front door. But there are flatter hiking trails that lead to Puget Sound close by in Dash Pt. State Park as well.
