Cotswold cottage in idyllic village near Bibury
A light and welcoming cottage with a pretty garden located in the heart of the village of Aldsworth overlooking gardens to the front and open countryside to the rear. Aldsworth is located between Bibury, Burford, Northleach and Cirencester so is an excellent base to explore the towns, villages and countryside of the Cotswolds. There is a traditional village pub a couple of minutes walk from the house and a good network of footpaths leading to the surrounding villages. Aldsworth is a peaceful village and we are fortunate to have excellent, considerate neighbours. However, the village pub, the Sherborne Arms, is a buzzy place and well frequented by locals and visitors. There is also a yoga class on a Monday evening in the village hall and a pretty church with regular services. There are a number of excellent gastro-pubs, a wine bar and cafes within 10 minutes drive of the house and we can give more information when booking. There are some lovely riverside walks at the National Trust’s Sherborne Estate, and at Coln St Aldwyn and Bibury - all within 3 miles of the house. There is a regular bus service to Aldsworth from Cheltenham, Cirencester, Burford and Oxford. However, it is perhaps easiest to explore the surrounding villages by car, bike or on foot. There is off road parking for one car and another 2 on road car parking spaces immediately outside the house.
