Private Farmhouse just 1/2 mile from Main Street

Newly remodeled 1,500 sq. ft. farmhouse just a half mile from main street of Ferndale! Stay at the gate house of Francis Creek Ranch in your very own private farmhouse. Take the short, scenic walk to the Victorian Village of Ferndale for meals or shopping or have guests visit you at the ranch - there is abundant parking! Visit with the goats, cattle, and horses that live at the farm - or enjoy a scenic hike up one of the trails at the ranch! The master bedroom has two full-size closets, a private bathroom complete with a jacuzzi tub and shower, and power strips for charging on both sides of the bed. The kitchen has a full-size oven and range, Keurig coffee maker, large microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. We always set out a couple bottles of wine, a few different beers, coffee for the Keurig, sugar, cream, and some basic pantry staples for your stay. The second bathroom has a shower, and is adjacent to the second bedroom, which has a full size bed. There is an air mattress in the master closet, as well as extra bedding for it. Guests have full access to the house and yard around it. We are starting to work on landscaping, and hope to have new outdoor amenities soon! If guests would like to visit the main ranch or hike on the roads that cross it they just need to contact us and we would be happy to accommodate them. As a working farm we're just a half mile up the road at the main ranch house doing chores and working outside at least every morning and evening. We all work outside of the ranch as well, but someone is typically home & easy to contact throughout the day, every day. With just one immediate neighbor, our gate house feels like you're miles from anywhere, when really you're just a couple minutes drive or a five minute walk from everything. Enjoy the quiet & relaxed atmosphere at the farmhouse, savor the many quality cafes and restaurants right in town or just across the river, take a trip to the beach or the Redwood parks, or simply enjoy your time at the ranch. Just a half mile down a gravel road from the main street of Ferndale, town is easy to navigate whether walking, riding a bike, or driving. You will want your own vehicle for traveling to neighboring cities or state parks, as well as getting to and from Ferndale.
