This semi-detached cottage is in the village of Harley near to Much Wenlock and can sleep four people in two bedrooms. Swallows Cottage is a lovely semi-detached cottage situated in the village of Harley, just two miles from Much Wenlock in Shropshire. The cottage can sleep four people in one king-size double and one twin together with family shower room. Also in the cottage is a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with electric fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a side patio with furniture and BBQ. Swallows Cottage is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful countryside of Shropshire. Children over 12 only Amenities: Electric radiator heating throughout with electric fire. Electric oven, halogen hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Side patio with furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 2 miles, Pub 10 minutes walk. Note: There is a regular bus service to Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury. Note: Sloping ceilings in bedrooms and on landing. Note: Property has a mezzanine style landing with glass balcony. Note: Children over the age of 12 only. Please note that this property is for holiday makers only, sorry no workers allowed Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was "the quietest place under the sun" and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England. Town: Harley is a pretty Shropshire village with a wealth of history situated just to the west of Wenlock Edge, not far from Much Wenlock. Recorded in the Doomsday Book in 1086 as “A manor with enough wood for a hundred swine” and the pretty village Church of St Mary is first recorded in 1291. The site of a Roman Villa has been found nearby. Harley is also a ‘thankful village’ one of the very few villages which saw no men lost in the First World War.
