Town: Harley is a pretty Shropshire village with a wealth of history situated just to the west of Wenlock Edge, not far from Much Wenlock. Recorded in the Doomsday Book in 1086 as A manor with enough wood for a hundred swine and the pretty village Church of St Mary is first recorded in 1291. The site of a Roman Villa has been found nearby. Harley is also a thankful village one of the very few villages which saw no men lost in the First World War.
