Our cottage is a 'Covid Safe' environment. We are pleased to confirm you may self-check-in using the key safe. We are utilising Milton disinfecting liquid. Our laundry is cleansed using Dettol laundry cleaner. Entrances and door handles are disinfected daily. Please do get in touch if you have any questions. Detached thatched cottage in the garden of our charming family home Fern Cottage, a 16th Century house in the centre of Clipston village. Originally two workers' cottages. Recently extensively renovated to a high standard offering spacious contemporary Skandi style accommodation. 4 miles from Market Harborough but situated in peaceful idyllic setting. A beautiful place to relax and unwind. We are in the centre of the picturesque village of Clipston adjacent to All Saints church and walking distance our thriving local pub. The Bulls Head serving real ale, superb lunches, evening meals and themed evenings. A unique cottage tastefully decorated, spacious, clean, comfortable and warm. There is private secure parking. Business guests tell us it is a home from home which allows them to R&R. Leisure travellers find the location very central and convenient. We welcome long term Monday - Thursday business travellers. Cereals and Milk are provided for you. Our guest cottage (Hattie) is a private place for you to utilise in full. You are able to fully isolate should you need to. Hattie is a private dwelling for our guests which offers a full kitchen, sitting room, pantry, bathroom (Inc sperate shower and bath), king-size bedroom. During this period you are welcome to check via the key safe to maintain social distancing. Our hosting style is relaxed. We do our best to provide a warm welcome, help settle you in and give you your own door key after that, it's up to you. We are just across the courtyard if you need us. There are many things to do and places to explore. The historic battle sites of the 1645 Civil War in Naseby which saw Cromwell's ultimate defeat of King Charles 1st. The Jurrasic Way, gliding at Husbands Bosworth, Kilworth House open air theatre with nearby Kelmarsh and Lamport, golf, riding and sailing at Pitsford Reservoir. The Grand Union Canal, which passes by The Foxton Locks Inn. Four miles from Market Harborough named as one of the best and happiest towns to live in by The Sunday Times newspaper. The town has a range of independent shops, restaurants, lattes, small theatre, muddy walks and stunning views. Both the city of Leicester and the town of Northampton are nearby and have an extensive array of commercial and leisure amenities and thriving shopping centres. Please check out our guidebook for local insights. You need a car or a taxi to get here. Murphys taxi's are good. The A14 is approximately three miles to the south with the M1 and M6 to the west providing good motorway connections. A main line rail link between Market Harborough and London St Pancras International within the magic hour. Easy access to East Midlands, Birmingham, Stansted and Luton airports. We are a family of five, including three daughters a pug called Captain and a cat called Carlos. The children are full of fun but we have a large house and garden and they go to bed early. They may be around in the daytime but they understand about your privacy. Captain and Carlos are very friendly, they have their own house and are not allowed in the cottage.
