Beachfront Cottage David at Surf Spray

This beachfront cottage is located in the village of Marina Beach. It boasts magnificent sea views, nestled in lovely indigenous gardens 50m from the beach. Enjoy a sea-view from our verandah (stoep) or the main bedroom, island-style. Internet will be available from 2022. Cottage David sleeps four guests, with two bedrooms and one bathroom. A 5th guest on a pull-out couch in the lounge by special arrangement. A home away from home. Cottage David is quiet and low key - it is not resort-like, although Cottage David is one of 3 semi-detached units. The unit next to our cottage is only frequented by the owners and therefore mostly empty. This is where you come to recharge your batteries. Where the sound of the ocean lulls you to sleep. Where monkeys chatter in the trees. Where small blue duikers come to graze on our lush lawns. Cottage David's kitchen is brand new and fully equipped. There are a dishwasher, oven and microwave as well as a braai on the patio which is cleaned in the evenings by the night staff. The property has lush tropical gardens and direct access to the beach. We have an outside beach shower to wash away the sand after a beautiful day on the beach. Our cottage offers a gorgeous seaview from the verandah and main bedroom. Guests are welcomed warmly by our caretaker and/or staff, who will be available on the premises, should you have any needs or questions. We offer optional daily cleaning service at a small charge on weekdays which you can arrange with the staff onsite. Margate airport is the closest, providing car rental facilities for the 15km drive to Marina Beach. CemAir is the carrier that flies into Margate. Durban's King Shaka airport is about 180 km away - usually about a 2 hour drive. You need a car to get around in Marina Beach and surrounds. Marina beach is in close proximity to all activities offered on the South Coast, including: 4x4 quad biking Adventure zones Crocodile and reptile farms Fresh water fishing Water sports Deep sea tours and fishing Farm tours Game drives and viewing Indigenous gardens Horse riding Hiking and walking trails Rural and adventure tours Mountain biking Helicopter flips and charters Craft and coffee shops Art galleries Places of interest Shopping malls A lock-up garage - not enormous, but a SUV eg. Honda C-RV fits in nicely. ALSO - we have 24-hour security. Our staff patrol the premises and have been in our service, taking care of Surf Spray, for many trouble-free years.
