The Red Hut- Idyllic Traditional Norwegian Cabin

Idyllic, authentic Norwegian cabin within the beautiful fishing town of Drøbak only 37km from Oslo. The property is situated with stunning views of the Oslo fjord .A short walk through the woodland takes you right into the heart of the town. The nearest bus stop is 500 m down the road with excellent transport links into Oslo, Ski & Ås. If the bus doesn't take your fancy within Drøbak there is a boat service in the summer months which takes you into Oslo. The town of Drøbak is located on the Oslo fjord, filled with history including the island of Oscarsborg Fortress (regular boat service from Drøbak). The town boasts beautiful old buildings, restaurants, shops and some of the most scenic bathing spots. From the property there are woodland walks to lakes, World War two cannons, sandy beaches and secluded rocky swimming spots. Within the town there is the famous Christmas house offering a glimpse into the Norwegian Christmas. There is a golf course, aquarium, cinema, supermarkets, weekly markets, boutique shops and a leisure center (swimming pool, gym etc.) all within walking distance from the property. Drøbak offers a perfect retreat for both couples and families. There is much exploring and adventures to be had in and around Drøbak. I stay in the cellar apartment/ hybel in the property when I have guests. I am often at work or traveling but I can be reached by message or just call. The hut is located on Sogstiveien which is a fairly busy road but the property has a very large garden. From the property you can walking into town within 15 mins, to the local supermarket and bus stop within 5 mins. There is private parking for up to 4 cars at the property. From the property there is a cycle path that also links to the town, amenities and further afield (there are two bikes available at the property on request).
