The whole house is available except for one small bedroom which will be locked during your stay. The host lives in London so you'll have the run of the house and garden. There is parking but the drive is narrow and is best for smaller short wheel base cars. Owner available by text or email. if it is urgent it is fine to call. Leigh on Sea is unique in having the nearest beach to London, and with a high street full of independent coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Old Leigh has charms of its own, with cobbled streets, galleries, pubs and seafood stalls. The cottage is about 8 minutes walk to the station, with trains to London's Fenchurch Street or, going east, to Southend-on-Sea. The area is very walkable, either along the seafront via the Old Town to Southend, via Chalkwell, or to Two Tree Island and also Hadleigh Castle heading west. On summer weekends the old town is very popular and sometimes they have bands playing on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Our neighbours either side are very friendly and approachable.
