Fantastic octagonal sitting room (exclusively for your use) with ornate 1780s plasterwork, big open fire and sliding sash windows overlooking the garden. Separate double bedroom with contemporary wet room, within the bedroom itself but screened. Close to Henley in quiet spot near the Thames on the edge of the Chilterns, with parking. Good walks nearby. Regular bus to Henley, Marlow and Reading. The annexe front door is exclusively for guests' use but accessed through the owners' garden. A small kitchenette has a fridge/freezer, microwave/combi oven, kettle and toaster but no kitchen sink … so quirky but it works, and fine for making teas/coffees, light breakfasts and simple meals.. Best for guests who want to be eating out or having takeaways/microwave meals rather than a cordon bleu chef ! The bedroom has underfloor heating and has a contemporary shower/wet room open to the bedroom, with a glass divider and vintage folding screen between. There is a comfortable double bed. Our house is attached but with its own front door. We have a child and a very friendly dog and 2 chickens - so silence is not guaranteed with family life going on next door .. but we will do our best ! The property is lovely, old and very charming but definitely quirky, so will best suit guests who wants to stay somewhere well located but a bit more unusual ! Owners' property adjoins and there's an interconnecting door (which will be kept locked). There is parking but access in the evenings is through a locked gate. We need to meet you to let you in through the gate when you first get here and will issue you with a fob. Live next door. Just over a mile from Henley with loads going on in the area. Lots of walks and things to do. 1 mile from Henley Management College. Handy regular bus service into Henley or 15 minutes to Marlow.
