The Little Hop House is a beautifully restored 250 year old building expertly converted from an Old Hop store to a one bedroom annex. It has a well equipped kitchen, living room, large bedroom and bathroom, making this unique space perfect if you are working in the area, a weekend get away or visiting the beautiful historic city of Cambridge. A log burner and under floor heating will ensure your stay is cosy and snug even in the winter months. The Little Hop House is in the garden of a family home, approximately 20 metres from Sarah’s house. Guests have private access and off street parking for one car. This is an ideal place to stay for the many local wedding venues including South Farm, Shuttleworth & Longstowe Hall. Sarah lives on site and is available for guests if needed. Sarah’s guidebook offers lots of suggestions for places to eat, drink and visit. The Village of Gamlingay has many amenities including two pubs, The Cock and The Weatsheaf. LJ’s cafe. Co- op store. Premier Express. Indian restaurant. Chinese takeaway. Pharmacy. Petrol station. There is also a fabulous Farm shop with a butchers and deli (Woodview) 2 minutes drive away or a 15 minute walk, selling local produce and serving home cooked food in their restaurant. Gamlingay is 18 miles from the city of Cambridge.There is very limited public transport from the village but Sarah can supply taxi information if needed. We also have 3 main line trains stations nearby, Sandy, Biggleswade and St Neots. Ideally you would need a car for easy access to the many places to visit nearby! If you need a taxi !
