Link detached annex which was formally a Police Office at the front of the property with private entrance . It is a comfortable one bedroomed accommodation with an en-suite Shower room / wash basin and W.C. There is private parking adjacent to the accommodation The property is within walking distance of the town centre with good transport links to the surrounding areas . We are situated on the hill side close to High Lea Park and New Mills Golf Club. The annex boasts a king sized bed with the award winning Emma Mattress Double wardrobe / drawers / bedside drawers / small table and chairs and a TV . The space is well equipped with a Mini fridge / kettle / Toaster / Cafetiere / crockery / cutlery / glasses / ice bucket / towels / complementary toiletries / first aid kit and a hair dryer. A complementary breakfast of Toast / cereals / fruit juice , tea and coffee are also provided. You also have the use of the front garden which has a patio set with views towards kinder scout. An Iron and Ironing board are available on request. Laundry facilities are available for a fee. The property is a No Smoking Property although you are welcome to smoke outside in the garden. If you are bringing bikes they can be stored safely in the garage . The town of New Mills is set in an area of spectacular beauty standing above a 70 foot deep natural Gorge known as the Torrs on the North Western edge of the Peak District England's first National Park. The Town hosts a local theatre known as the Art theatre plus a small selection of places to eat and drink. A micropub and 2 local breweries plus the usual charity shops and of course take aways. The property is idealy situated for walkers and visitors to the peak district with easy access to the Torrs Trail/ Torrs Hydro which is located in the Torrs riverside park/Goyt Side and the Sett valley trail leading to kinder scout. The bridges Trail including the millennium bridge and many other countryside walks. New Mills also has a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym. New Mills is a great base for visiting other areas of the peak district too , the town has good local transport links including 2 Railway stations servicing the areas of Buxton spa town , which has the wonderful opera house and pavilion gardens from the Newtown line. Hathersage and Edale are both easily reached by train from New Mills central line .Chatsworth , Haddon Hall, Castleton, Bakewell and Matlock are all approx a 30 - 40 min drive away by car Due to Covid 19 . We have had to make changes to protect both ourselves and guests, to be able to re open our booking calendar . We are now operating a self checking in service with a key safe , and have blocked 3 days either side of each booking for every one's protection.
