Town: The small village of Southerndown rests on the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, situated less than 20 miles away from the capital city of Cardiff. The village is best known for its beach, known as Dunraven Bay or Red Wolf Bay if you are a Dr. Who fan! The beach is exceptional for families, summer swimming, fossil hunting and even surfing and is Lifeguard patrolled. Nearby Ogmore-by-Sea offers a shop/Post Office, plus there are more good pubs and restaurants in the neighbouring villages.
