B&B in the center by beautiful canal-vaccinated

Our B&b is situated on the ground level of our house in the city center by a canal. It has its own entrance, living and sleeping area (please see photos for a better idea as the sleeping area is a cozy nook - with a double bed), a private bathroom. We offer locally sourced breakfast and home baked bread and home made jams. We have a free Wi-fi for our guests. We live in a quiet area very close to all the historic touristic attractions and not far from TU Delft and shops. We are literally five minutes from the very center of Delft and our house is situated by one of the most beautiful canals in Delft. The place is beautifully decorated with antique items and we are very proud of our mosaic which is modern but includes shards of Delft Blue tiles from the beginning of 17th century. There is a microwave which can be also used for cooking (please ask for it as it lives in a cupboard), a cooler where you can store your groceries, a coffee plunger, a kettle, cups and plates (plates and cutlery provided upon request); everything you need to make a nice cup of coffee or tea or warm up some food. We offer free fast Wi-fi. Unfortunately, there is no free parking in Delft anymore so your only option is parking in the nearby garage (5 minutes walk). The cost of parking per day is EUR 18,-. The accommodation is completely private as it is situated on the ground floor, with private entrance and bathroom. We live above the accommodation and really love this wonderful compromise of hosting people in our house and yet providing total privacy. We always welcome our guests personally and quite often meet them at the train station. We interact with our guests daily when serving breakfast and we are always available to give direction or tips and have a chat through the day. Stef was born and raised in Delft and knows the city through and through so he can give you lots of advise and interesting tips. We speak Dutch, Czech, English, German, Spanish and French between the two of us. We live in the city center, about five minutes from all the major tourist places, yet, our neighborhood is super quiet and peaceful. We live about 100 meter from the famous Oostport (East gate) which is a last standing tower which used to be part of the city walls build around the 1400. There is no need to use any public transport to discover Delft unless, of course, you want to hop on one of the canal boats and enjoy the views from the water :-) If you wish to borrow bikes there are renatal places where you can rent a bike. Delft is well connected to all the major cities like Utrecht, Rotterdam, den Hague and Amsterdam and all the trains to these destinations run 24 hours so you can even enjoy the night out in Amsterdam and still make it back to Delft :-) There is also a tram connection to den Hague and you can go all the way by this tram to the famous beach in Scheveningen. We have a green policy at place in our accommodation which means that not only all the cleaning products and detergents are eco-friendly but also that we recycle and encourage our guests to do so by providing bin for recycling, we compost green waste, most of the food served at breakfast is locally sourced, organic and mostly home-made (we bake bread every morning, I make jams and bake granola), the teas and coffee which is available for the guest's use is also organic and fair-trade. We do not change towels on daily basis but if you let us know you would prefer that we will always be happy to do that. We also would like to mention that we have a cat called Nina (Simone) and a lovely little dog Miles (Davis) - neither of them has an access into the accommodation but we would like people who have cat or dog allergy be aware that there is a cat and a dog in the house.
