Cosy Hillsborough terrace with breakfast hamper

Located centrally to North Sheffield, it’s a small and snug house ideal for visiting family or friends. The house is in an urban area of the city, with easy access to the beautiful Peak District. There is plenty of dedicated parking, we provide visitor parking permits so you can park right outside. Tea, coffee, milk and bread are provided for you as well as a locally sourced breakfast hamper. The property is walkable to the bus and tram stops, as well as to the well loved Rivelin valley. The property has a good size King bedroom, a small (very small) single, and a bathroom upstairs. Downstairs a well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with TV, with a few books and games. We supply bedding for the King bed and single, so if you’re bringing an extra child, and want to use the sofa bed or travel cot, you’ll need to pop a sleeping bag and pillow in! The property wouldn’t be big enough for 4 adults for a weekend! It’s too cosy so please don’t ask. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave and washing machine as well as all the other usual equipment. The boiler and hot water / heating clocks are easily accessible in the kitchen too. There’s enough crockery and cutlery for 6... and a butterfly table and 4 chairs tucked away in the recess, which can be pulled out if you want to sit and eat. Each guest will be left a lidded ‘Covid-secure’ kitchen box, with toilet rolls, washing up liquid, cloths, scourers, tea towel, a couple of washing machine capsules and a black sack, so you really don’t need to pack anything extra... should make your trip more stress free! Outside the back door is a small yard, with table and chairs, perfect for a summer’s evening. We live locally so are available for anything you might need. Hillsborough is a busy, urban neighbourhood with lots of green space. Also home to Sheffield Wednesday Football ground, and Owlerton stadium, both walking distance from the property. The shopping centre is a 3 min walk, and contains everything you need for your stay from butchers and greengrocers to Wilko, Homebargains and Boots. Both Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s are slightly further, and walkable if needed, but both less than a 5 min drive. Meadowhall is about 20 mins away by car. Local produce can be delivered by Hedgerow Preserves prior to your arrival - anything from veg boxes to pies and cakes. Our favourite pub is the Olde Horns at Bradfield, and for a cafe and a walk put ‘Rivelin Valley Cafe’ into maps. You can basically walk as far as you want into the Peak District by following the river out! Kids playground and ice cream van a bonus! Buses and trams are all within a few mins walk. There is parking right outside our house, and we will give you a free parking permit for the duration of your stay if you need, so you never have to worry about parking your car. We love Hillsborough, it’s walkable to the bus and tram stops, local shops, supermarkets and takeaways a few minutes away. You’re within 5/10 mins drive of the universities, and the property is right on the A61 ringroad, so no getting lost! The beautiful Rivelin Valley park, cafe and walks only 10-15 mins away on foot, and the fabulous Hillsborough park with children’s play area, duck pond and walled gardens is just around the corner.
