Houseboat on the lovely Kagerlakes

The perfect getaway! Relax and read a book on the deck, take a dive from the jetty, go surfing or sailing and enjoy a barbecue while watching the sunset. Interesting places like Amsterdam, the Keukenhof or Leiden are within driving distance. Recently built houseboat (2009) with magnificent views of the Kagerlakes (Kagerplassen), in a quiet location surrounded by trees and water. You're litterally in the middle of nature. Very suitable for a familyholiday or a sailing weekend with friends! The houseboat accommodates 6 people in 3 bedrooms (bunk beds). All rooms share one bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. The cosy living room has an open kitchen and both are well equipped (oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, digital television, speakers for iPod/ iPhone). Huge glass sliding doors offer a magnificent view of the lake. All rooms have central heating so even in colder periods your stay will be very comfortable. Use of surfboard is included in the rent. The front deck (12 square meters) offers more then enough space for sunbathing and barbecuing. At the jetty a dinghy for transport and leisure is waiting for you (included in the rent). Within 15 minutes sailing the restaurants, supermarkets and terraces of Warmond and Kaagdorp can be reached. Possibility of renting sailing boats (16m2, up to 5 people) nearby. Upon your arrival, you'll find a map and list with locations that might be useful or interesting. Although you're in the middle of nature, city life is closer then you think. The city of Leiden is only a 5 minute drive away. The Hague (15 min.) and Amsterdam (30 min) are also within driving distance (no public transport from the houseboat, car necessary). The houseboat is in a very quiet spot and is only accessible over water. You can use the little ferry that leaves from the parking place or our motorboat (3-minute journey). This is a place for people who want to relax but also for those who love watersports! Guests can use the entire houseboat! Me or my parents will be there to guide you from the parking place to the houseboat and we will explain how everything works, including operating the motorboat which is included in the rent. Once you feel comfortable, we will leave you but will always be available when you have questions (my parents live a 15-minute drive away from the houseboat).
